Managed a 92.333 MPH lap last night and had fun on 2 year old Dunlop tires. Changed to fresh SC1 front and SC2 Rear Pirelli for tomorrows race. The new 16 tooth sprocket up front lifted my top speed from 114mph to 125Mph which allowed me to shave 47 seconds from my previous best time. Also allowing me to qualify for both races .
All the work done bike is ready for tech at 8am tomorrow so early start to get in line. I will start 2nd to last as we are out in numerical order. Should be racing by 10:15am local time unless their are any delays. Got a ride around the lap in a car today and picked up some more places to save time. Looking for a finishers medal but a podium would be great as well.
Huge shout out to John Batty, John Turner, Shawn Webster for being the nicest people on the Isle of Man. Without the three of you I would have no bike to race and would not have qualified. I hope to do you all proud by finishing both races and maybe a podium in 1(if a few others break down)
Chris wont even give me the secret Internet access password so no chance of any timing changes This time I remembered to "open throttle facking pussie"
Newcomers C was not a good race for me. I was to hot into Signpost corner stood the bike up did a good stoppie and tipped the bike to the right. When I got into the pits for my fuel stop I was told I could not continue as I had crashed!!!
Lightweight race was a trial. Got Red Flagged after 3/4 of a lap due to bad weather. Restarted as a 2 lap race could not see anything over the Bungalow. Tip toed around on slicks just to get a finishers medal. Had the dubious distinction of being the last bike across the start Finish line in the 2013 ManxGP. The Senior race got canceled while I was out on course, no idea why it was not red flagged. Meeting was abandoned due to bad weather so the conditions were BAD. Felt sorry for all the guys in the Senior race who did not get to ride.
Of course today the weather is beautiful but there are not enough marshals around to man the course.
Got my finishers medal at the presentation last night which was a blast. Lots of beer and relaxation
Congrats on the finishers medal. After seeing the lap times for Newcomer C I was hoping you hadn't crashed. Glad that it wasn't serious. Sorry that you were stopped.
