For those who have delt with insurance companies, does my bike look totalled to you?

They're also measured in reams.
 
Was that an O-ring or X-ring chain? I think the X-ring chains have a tendency to cut like this...might be a recall out there for it.

And @ Mille69: If the swingarm is shot, the heads of your rivets are gone too. How long since you replaced the chain, since you've got 50K miles? And did the nice man who did it for you tell you about any wear on your swinger at the time?

it is due for a replacement anyway, according to my records, I last had it changed February 23rd '08 @ 34,400 miles

Assuming he uses 210 # bond, a ream would weigh in at about 205 pounds... at 210 mph, that's 308 ft/s, so then about 63,073 ft-lbs/s which is approximately 85,516.145 Watts. 88 JiggaWatts is 88,000,000,000 Watts, sooo... we have approximately 1,029,045.4510 reams per 88 JiggaWatts.

Someone's gonna be mighty busy.
