Four OPD officers shot today

Sgt. Dunakin and Officer Hege were the motors. Not sure if any of the photos I took last June at the Oakland motor LEO comp includes them. Will post if I do have some.
 
Damn, sorry to hear this. OPD should just write off East Oakland and let the animals police themselves if they want to stand around and taunt dead cops.
 
Today is a day when we should stand behind the OPD and honor the sacrifice made by these fine gentlemen as they sought to make the community a safer place for us all. Thank you for your service and our sacrifice.

To the families, the co-workers and friends of the fallen I offer the thoughts and condolences of myself and my family. Take some solace in knowing that we, the general community, are deeply, deeply saddened by your loss. May you find peace in this time of grief.

Sgt. Dunakin was a friend. He was funny and always had a smile on his face. One of the nicest guys you could ever meet.

I'm not sure, but one of the moto officers looks a lot like an OPD officer I had an encounter with in December.

I was splitting lanes up 24 EB in lane 1.5 towards the Caldecutt, and saw a moto officer splitting in lane 2.5, going pretty fast. I was thinking, damn dude, I wouldn't split that fast.

Then traffic came to an abrupt halt at St Steven's Drive, my exit. It was clear there had been an accident ahead. At the scene there were four cars in an accident, on both sides of the highway. One was a rollover, and the lady inside was banged up, but not too bad.

While the officer was doing a sizeup of the situation, I asked if he needed help, that I had some emergency medical training. He had me take the the two cars on the right, while he ran across the highway to check out the cars on the left.

After a while, he came back and gave me a quickly written report. Everyone was more or less OK. He asked if I could give it to whatever LEOs showed up next. He said "Shit, I was on my way home, my wife is having a medical emergency." I said "You should go man, I got it". He looked me in the eye, shook my hand, said thanks and took off fast.

Think about it; a cop is the kind of person who stops to help others when his own wife is in trouble.

I hope that wasn't him. I mean I'm sorry it was anyone but having that personal contact does something to you.

Mark was there and competed. I have a video somewhere of the two of us riding in the "Last Man Standing" event. By the time we were done we were both laughing so hard.
 
People ask "doesn't that scare you?"

All it does is piss me off.

I didn't know these guys, but I'm too busy being mad to be sad right now. Everyone wants to be safe, yet they keep letting these piles of shit out of prison so they can go murder more people.

RIP guys, you're in a better place now.

I feel for the families and friends of these men. Be proud of them and know they are at peace and will be honored as hero's, which is so deserved.

I have an entire tirade set and ready to go... However this is not the time or place for that. My thoughts and prayers got to the families of the fallen. I had the pleasure of meeting Sgt. Dunakin,, he was a class act,, as are all of th OPD guys I have met through the years.

I can't imagine sitting there at the scene of my friend/brother/co-workers murder scene, while having to listen to these pieces of shit run their mouths.
 
Is it time to pull the innocent out, build a bullet proof fence around the shtty parts of Oak, and get the fk out? I'm sorry but this piece of trash just killed 3 officers and for what? And the "public" around there taunting police? Will there be riots in the streets and protests for this too?

I don't know if I am more mad, sad, or just in disbelief!
My heart goes out to the officers families and the law enforcement family.

I was just thinking about that. This is truly a sad situation and environment.

No it's called being a better marksman. And rel, isn't that called murder when cops shoot unarmed people and kill them or taze them to death or beat them to death??? What goes around, comes around. I have no sympathy. They were probably croocked anyway. How many went down on that drug bust before? Cops are no better than the scum they put away.
