I caught a story that one of the stations, maybe KRON, did on them a couple of years back. It's kind of admirable, in that wacky sort of way. Their actions don't seem to hurt anyone so why not?

Me I'm so tetchy about food I'd probably eat a .45 before I go dumpster diving.
 
Eh, when I was a broke college student I did some dumpster diving. Not bad if you're careful. The worst episode I had was when I jumped into a dumpster behind a bakery...and landed in a batch of dough they had tossed out. It was like quicksand. Eeeeeee!

Did you read the part about squatting vacant apartment buildings because housing is a RIGHT not a privilege? Fuck these hippy douche bags. Their lifestyle is a gilded commitment to be parasites.

Here is one for you. The "Food not Bombs" group. They just did a story on them in our local news. Not only do they dumpster dive, they make meals for the homeless out of it :shocker
 
these are actually modern day HOBO's not hippies or bums. they are people who usually have a means to participate in society but decide not to. what will happen when these people get to retirement age and want a government handout yet they have paid nothing into the system?:rolleyes

One hobo/trainhopper kid I knew grew up and ended up going to work for the railroad...first Amtrak, then BNSF. He "straightened up and flew right," and digs it; never would have been a workin' man, he says, were it not for falling in love with trains while being a hobo for a while.
