Air up the tires and light the fires. .. . .who's coming tonight? Think about it as a warm up for the party at Laguna Seca this weekend!

Any age minimums for riding the track tonight?
My 10yr old son would like to ride if possible.

Thanks

Unfortuantely, we're trying to keep it as adult as possible, to keep the risk of injury down. However, we might be able to clear the track for a little while so he can do some laps. Right now it seems like everyone on the track knows what they're doing (sort of) and we would prefer not to rub elbows with someone little who might not be as durable. We'll see you there.

Great turn-out tonight everyone! I counted about 35 fiddies! With the exception of the two-stroke and the TTR-90 and DRZ-(?) everything went well. After Laguna Seca I will post the race structure and rules so there won't be any questions, and if there are, just ask. Also, this is for XRs and Zs only, nothing bigger than ten inch wheels!

twej, was that your son out there tonite? there was a young kid in full leathers tearing it up.

My son decided to stay home and let me check it
out first. But you're right, that kid was movin'. I think he was on a Polini or Lem. Cool mods on his bike.

That was wild last night, had lots of fun. I'm afraid my stocker is way too slow for those other bikes. Not the safest thing havin' the fast bikes on the track at the same time with the stockers.
But I still had a great time!

Well if you are planning on entering the Racing next week we are splitting up the bikes....stock and motor bikes!!

Unfortunately I'm gonna miss next thursdays race.
But I understand it's the first of a 6 race
series? How many races do you have to attend to qualify for overall points, trophies, whatever?

Such as, you have to make 4 of the 6 to be eligible for the sponsor goodies or series trophies.

I know there'll be more info after Laguna Seca.

Pocketbikes?

Can I bring my pocketbike and race with you other fiddies? Technically, the pocketbike is 50cc's... weighs a bit less.

Maybe we can get a bunch of fiddies together and go to Wednesday night drags? :laughing I am serious though... :wow

How interesting would that be?

What does everybody wear? I'll be wearing my leathers, since I don't have any other type of protection.

im wearing my helmet, gloves, kneepads and jeans. Are we required to wear long sleeves?

I've only been riding at Le Mans once but I wore
my motocross pants, knee/shin guards, gloves and sweatshirt. I was wishin' I also had elbow guards.
Also some sort of hiking boot might be good. My mx boots are WAY to big for a fiddie, but with the close riding on that track, someone ran over my tennis shoe. So, a hiking boot or something a bit stiffer than a shoe might be good.

Wej

I ride with pants, boots (hiking style), knee guards, elbow/forearm guards, good gloves, and a t-shirt. If you don't have elbow guards I suggest wearing a long sleeve or sweatshirt so you don't skin yourself. On this track I think leathers are a little overkill but your safety is up to you so feel free. Have fun and see you all there!

My Stock class championship Trophy has arrived in town!!!:laughing
