Wanted to start a thread for those who share my same passion for dressing dapper. I have to dress nice to meet with my clients, but over the past couple of years, I've gotten creative with dapper style to match my personality.

I mostly wear vintage stuff and keep an eye out for good, quality wool. Plus, it's much cheaper than buying new - and I don't like all the new stuff available out there, although the cut usually fits me better than old stuff.

I actually do wear vintage polyester, as well. I have a beautiful chocolate brown blazer which looks mid 70's and it's one of my favorite.

Always brown shoes, colored shoe laces, tie, watch, flower and a pocket square.

Here's some examples of how I dress almost daily :)

You into dressing dapper? Post up!

I get all my work clothing made in Thailand by the same gentleman I've been dealing with for about a decade. I am by far the best dressed man in my office. I don't go ties and jackets though because most people here wear jeans most of the time.

I have a seersucker suit, linen suit, 3 tuxedos, 3 velvet jackets and a few sports jackets on top of a few suits I never wear anymore.

It's good to dress up if you like it.

I just got these for under $100, originally $600 Shell Cordovan

Allen Edmond park avenues (I have an 11 year old pair in black)

Ties, Pocket Squares, Watches, Nato Straps, Colored Shoe Laces, Lapel Flowers

I think I look pretty good in a nice blazer.

Last few butchers shops I’ve worked at have been old school have to wear shirt and tie

I always wear bow ties or dickie bows as there called in Europe ,like them
Much better than a tie wear a nice sweater and well or jumper depends what part of the world you come from lol
Have loads of dickie bows, from Batman to Charlie Brown,

Plain stripped shiny, buy them off eBay

Cargo pants and hoodies. I like to be comfortable

I heard Adam Corolla say a joke about guys who dress up in suits all the time - you get so used to it, you can pretty much do anything in a full business suit and it's no big deal - completely comfortable. I'm totally comfortable all the time when I dress up.

4 years ago for my 40th birthday I wanted to do something silly in a black business suit, so I bunnyhopped another bike.

I only wear a bow tie with a tuxedo. I don't like how they look on me.

Tied bow ties, right? Not the strap style, I hope! :twofinger

Most people I see put on suits, the suit is ill fitting, sometimes really out of date (3 button), and they wear the ugliest black square loafers (never been polished) and white socks.

Some nice colors and materials in this thread

but why would you wear a Nato strap with a suit. : | :dunno

example:
currently I'm wearing a metal bracelet BUT a sports sweater. So? It's metal. Whatever.

Nato straps were worn by people with canvas clothing driving Jeeps??

I leave my black shoes only for real formal stuff, usually at night. I bust out black shoes probably once a year at most.

Square toe shoes are the worst.

I also have a big problem with dark shirts and light ties.
