I know this isn't moto related but I'm on here a lot and just felt like posting this.
On the night of February 12, for the first time in the 132 year history of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, the largest and most prestigious dog show in the world, the Beagle won best in show! WOOHOO! Christy (gf), George (dog) and I witnessed this fantastic feat and vowed to throw George a party due to his relatives victory.
Christy leaves for work at 7:00am and I head out around 9:30am; George hangs out at the apartment for a few hours until I return around 2:30 to walk him. When I came back to the apartment yesterday George, following his appetite had his head in a cookie container that was in the shape of a keg. It was on top of a bar-height table next to the kitchen with a lid screwed on. George being the magician he is, somehow got the lid off and proceeded to go after the yummy crumbs at the bottom of the container. George suffocated and passed away yesterday. Because of the shape of the container, it was very easy for him to squeeze his head in, but almost impossible to pull his head out with just paws.
It's been really hard on Christy and I but we know that George is in a happy place with lots of people and dogs to play with. He loved all of his human and doggy friends and I know he could bring a smile to anyones face with his affection and laid back attitude. Please take a moment to remember such a great dog, friend and companion.
The worst part of the ordeal is coming home and not having him greet us at the door, tail wagging and kisses pouring onto our faces. If you have a dog, smother them with love and affection.
