Good Bars in San Jose?

Been to The Escape numerous times. It's one of my favorites. Super small, but not really ever crowded. The bar pizza is good too. Unlike other San Jose bars, they have never given a care about my tattoos on my face. Friendly people! Not many (if any) girls though. Was the bar tender a thin, young brunette with a tattoo on her side?

Another bar I like is Willow Den, which is dark and old school feeling, a dive bar. I'm actually headed there within the hour for a couple. Problem with this bar is the douche bag level is VERY high. Males and females, the douche level increases greatly as it gets later. So does the crazy. It's next to the tattoo shop I worked at, which is probably why I like it. And I met my now ex-girlfriend of 1.5 years there. Well, as she was stumbling out of the bar, pushed a guy and bee-lined right over to where I was standing next to my El Camino smoking lol. Brought her into the tattoo shop to talk about tattoos and was making out in the back within 20 minutes. I should have known it was gonna be somewhat bad lol.:laughing:wow:party:teeth

A plus is they have been sponsoring the barf racing team for 10 years and pour like a good dive should.

Nailed it. Awesome place, extremely high level of douchebaggery, the one time I went there, I was smoking outside and a group of aforementioned douchebags attempted to coax me into a fight until my buddies came out, at which point they decided it wasn't a good idea. But then again it was like 2am on a Saturday night, so maybe I'm at fault for being there at rush hour :laughing

I'll re-recomend Trials Pub and Original Gravity. :twofinger

That was a good one.

“Trial’s Pub” Downtown is a good one and it’s close to light rail. You’re also near downtown Campbell and can walk to a bunch of bars till you find on you like. Los Gatos is 15 minutes away too. Not sure how good the “Black Watch” is now but it was a cool dive in it’s day.

Used to live down the road to the east of Fred's in the yellow condo's. Good news for me it was walking distance. Last time I was there was immediately after getting laid off. Co-worker's and buddy got me extremely fuckbrained on something called Navy Grog. Place did the job for me it gets the :thumbup

Isn't there some place in PA that has a tropical theme off of the El Camino? Clean, dark and full of professional drinkers if I remember right.
 
Someone mentioned The Blvd in Los Gatos. I keep forgetting about that place. It's not bad, but it's a Preppy Dive. Not a true Dive.

Also, Marmist on Curtner is pretty nice.

Whatever you do, stay the fuck away from Willow Den, that place and it's staff is a bunch of fuckwits.

Was at the escape tonight. your bartender was hanging all over me, kissing me on the cheeks 4 times. tried to ask her out but failed. lol. mixed signals much ladies? too young for me anyway.:rofl
