Good Service Shops around the bay

Patrick Ho: Performance Concepts

Takes me 45 minutes from Livermore. WORTH THE DRIVE. He is AMAZING. Plus the man knows how to brew a fabulous pot of coffee!! :teeth
Hit the link in my sigline to his website... there's a lot of pics of some of his work, dyno charts from "before Patrick" and "after Patrick"... unbelievable. He's so painstaking in his work, and his attention to detail is almost scary. It's really cool to watch him fabricate parts, too!

I was just over there last night, while he did a valve adjustment on my bike. He took the time to explain what he was doing, which taught me a lot. Dunno how much I retained, but it was cool learning new stuff. Watching him measure the clearances, then doing compression testing and clearing carbon out, and how that then changed the measurements... I can't imagine a lot of shops take the time to take all those steps... but I'll tell you what- the man is worth every penny.

Patrick, has quite the resume. I would like to pay him a visit this wknd but, I'm workin' @ the IMS this wknd. My Repsol needs a 12K service I'm already @ 12,900mi. Thanx for the info Connie!!!

Hmm.. Never heard of Patrick Ho, but I may be giving him a call sometime. I need some dyno tune work on the DRZ. He may be the man!

Stan, seriously- hit the link in my sigline. Patrick Ho is an absolute genius. He has more attention to detail than a brain surgeon. We're talking about a guy who can do things like design his own pistons, fabricate virtually any part a bike needs... once you've had Patrick do some work on your bike, you won't take it anywhere else. No lie.

Tell Patrick Hello for me! And you won't believe the difference in your bike once Patrick works his magic on it!! :thumbup

What additional information are you looking for, but I guess not getting? :confused

Just trying to see what's out there. I live in redwood city and really have nobody to drive me back and forth. So maybe, I am looking for some thing close to palo alto, redwood city, san mateo, south san fran, etc. I really appreciate all the info :)

A good tuner is really hard to find. Rent a pick-up truck from U-Haul (usually about $20), buy yourself a ramp and some tie downs, and haul your bike to Patrick Ho. Problem solved.
Or pull your plastics, ride over there, and have a friend follow you in their cage to get you back home. Again, problem solved.

I was researching motorcycle garages in Mountain View and Hare Racing showed up.
Here is that address that showed up.
2362 Old Middlefield Way
Mountain View, CA 94043
(650) 961-6400‎

I haven't called the number yet...

There is a review posted on 5/6/08 so I'm guessing they are still around...
Here is the link:

Anyone else been to see them at this location?

One other option is to PM Elskipador... rumor is he's a pretty hot wrench, when he's in town! ;)

I really like Subterranean; great value too. Actually since moving to east bay it'd be nice to find a closer shop, somewhere in el cerrito, albany, berkeley would be convenient.

Thanks for posting, reminded me of giving you a call soon for some SV stuff done.

Also, miss seeing you in that cute little apron you wear.:laughing

Hit up Patrick Ho in Pinole. He's got room for new clients, and is the BEST TUNER EVAR. Period. Hit the link in my sig line!

+1. Can't seem to google the place. Any info would be appreciated. I seem to remember they were close to Hare Racing's last location.

Where exactly is Suspension Dynamics? Address? Phone number? Thanks in advance. :cool
