GOPatterson has been lost - RIP

I just received this text from Glenn's Mother, Katrina...

If you can possibly make it, please mark your calendar.

Thank you Greg. I know how hard this has hit you and I'm sorry you had to go through this. Hang in there buddy.

Ditto.

We are blessed to have guys like Greg here. The caring and compassion he showed is so respectful. Then to have Kurt and Steve go by and thank the first responders. Holy cow.
Classy. So classy. Proud of you all.

I have emailed his parents/Katrina and Brad to offer my personal condolences and ask about whether 2 wheels is appropriate for the memorial. I told them to think hard because it may affect them. I also told them for us it is a way to honor Glenn.

I do hope my words on Saturday night helped the folks there. I managed to get them out without a total break down thankfully and I supposed it helped me. Wheel Muse / Brian's touched me. He is another solid soul among the many that were with Glenn. I am grateful in ways he had you guys there.

Damn, this is extremely sad, brings tears to my eyes, such a tragedy,,this is what we all pray never happens , :rip Glenn, you were surrounded by friends , condolences to his family, friends and all who were there during his final moments :( ride safe everyone

I can't believe this at all.

Glen was probably the guy i talked to/spent the most time with at weaverville. Got breakfast with him Saturday morning at the diner down the street.

He was studying aerospace engineering, I can't recall at what school. Told him I had done the same program at sjsu if he ever needed help.

Was supposed to ride back to the bay with him from weaverville sunday morning but overslept a bit.

Fuck. Just wow

Id also like to attend the service

I rode with Glenn earlier this year in Napa

:rose ride in peace Glenn

hate to ask this but, was he on the newb ride a couple months ago?
I went along too. I think he was the guy I was talking to at Busters for lunch.
say it ain't so, totally cool guy

Yeah he was on that ride, I talked with him at Peets beforehand.

I was riding with Glenn Friday. Like most, met him for the first time that morning. He was looking forward to making new friends and enjoy a weekend adventure.

Glenn was in good company. He was immediately surrounded by caring people who did their best to administer aid when he crashed. He was surrounded by new friends who tried to calm him and keep him awake. He also had the fortune of being a few short miles away from a fire station when it happened. Greg had the presence of mind to fly down the street to that fire station to summon the paramedics, who were able to arrive on the scene within minutes of the crash.

I couldn't believe what was happening. I was hoping and expecting for it to be just a close call and to see him end up walking it off. But he didn't, and we lost a new member of the riding family.

I'm proud of everybody who was there. The situation was handled in the best way possible. Everybody involved kept their wits about them and acted swiftly in the heat of the moment. And those who couldn't help stayed out of the way and let the professionals work. I just wish he could have pulled through in the end.

:rip
