GoPro HD HERO3

I was wondering why they were heavily discounting the gopro a month ago.

So was I. So I contacted GoPro to ask if there was something new on the way (because seeing the sudden sale at an online site seemed suspicious; Cycle Gear later did the same thing). I was clearly told that they were not releasing any new camera, their attention was focused on the WiFi app. Guess that was a smokescreen.

The GoPro already switches to a new file at about 2GB, so you will get at least a 2GB file at a time.

Pretty sure I have a 3.something gig file from the AFM races a couple of weeks ago.

Interesting... maybe I'm remembering wrong.

I do know that GoPros use FAT32 formatted SD cards, so that limits the file size to just under 4gb, so 3gb sounds like it should work. I have some videos that the GoPro automatically split into 2 files. I'll have to check what the file sizes are.

EDIT: Just checked my videos, there is one here that was split once the main file got to 3.94GB

The second file picks up where the first one left off.

OT: The Contour Roam also does the same thing, BTW.
