Did anyone go out and buy it yesterday ??!!

I plan on doing so this weekend.

Looks like the best so far and they have it for every system which is great, although I think they should have had the Les Paul for the PS2 not the 3. :x

Fuck Tom Morello!! That son of a bitch and his stupid Rage guitar challenge. Wife beat him the first time. The first couple songs are oldies(70's and 80's), and kinda fast. F'n carpal tunnel! Lots of encores and of course, the Tom challenge face-off. You hit these special notes that make your oponent screw up. So, after the ol' lady razzed me about beating Tom, I threw my guitar down and went to bed.(pouty)

So I had my friends husband who works at game stop pre-order it for me...
but then i stopped toalking to this girl so i am pretty sure its not shipping anymore :(

FWIW: Target has a package for the PS2, where you get two guitars with the game for $90. I almost picked up the one for the Wii (white lester) but since I play guitar, and I've watched other people play guitar hero, it just seems a waste of gaming dollars when I still haven't secured a 360.

I got it and played the shit out of it. I LOVE the songs on this version, so kickass. I jammed Missippi Queen like 10 times in a row just because it's so cool.

I'm so good at Guitar Hero that you'd take your shirt off or throw your thong onstage or somthin :teeth

The only thing that I don't like is that I don't wanna go through and beat it on Easy and Medium. I wish that you could finish the game on Hard and unlock everything that finishing on Easy and Medium does.
 
i fucking pre-ordered from amazon and they haven't even shipped it yet!

i'm pissed,... i think i'm going to cancel it and get it from circuit city today instead.

EDIT: i just did. now as soon as my GF gets home we can go pick it up. and it comes with a free guitar stand when you buy it from circuit city, score!

Yeah that pisses me off too, but I suck on hard so playing on easy and medium gives me more a sense of accomplishment. :laughing

Be careful with Amazon.

I've received items even when the website says it hasn't shipped yet, especially if its coming from a merchant and not from an Amazon warehouse. Normally with their pre-orders, you will get it in the mail one day before it's available locally.


I guess you can sell one if you end up with two. :thumbup

i'm pretty good too. did you get 5 stars on every song on expert in GH2? i almost did... i got 5 stars on all but about 3 of them (specifically jordan, ugh!).

i've been playing the demo for GH3 and while it's fun, i have a couple gripes. first, the characters are ugly as hell, and they move like robots. that's not really important.

second and more importantly, the sensitivity has been turned way up for the strum bar. it makes no difference for most GH players, but since i'm one of the freaks who likes to flick it with only my thumb, the recoil has been registering as a 2nd note and fucking it up. i'm hoping this is only an issue with the shitty x-plorer controller, and that the GH3 controller will solve the problem.

and i know what you mean about the lower difficulties unlocking shit. i was hoping in GH3 they would make it so playing a higher difficulty unlocks all the lower difficulty treats. i played through medium in GH2 but only because that was my first guitar hero experience, i don't think i could do it now. and easy? i would fall asleep.

it's ordered directly from amazon, so they have no excuse. they never charged me for it and according to the site it never shipped, so as far as i'm concerned if they send it to me now it's a gift. :twofinger

The solos always get me on Expert.

If you think Jordan was tough, look up the Dragonforce song on GH3. It's like, there are just some things in life that I *KNOW* I'll never do, and playing that song on Expert is one of them:

That sounds like a good deal but be smart and get the 360 first. IMHO.

Yeah I want to get it too. Medium is enough of a challenge for me right now. Can beat the songs but my pinky is retarded and can't max out the song ratings.
 
The most frustrating thing ever is trying to 100% every single song on Easy. I'm to damn impatient for that shit!

I dont have a 360 yet but I plan on getting the wireless for the ps2 cuz they have a sick skin for it. :teeth
