Sorry workin backwards here. Here are my videos of Gold State Championship Round 3. It took place June 6-7, 2026 at the Shasta Supermoto track in Redding, California. The host of this race was Hawk Mazzotta. I've been struggling with neck and back pain from a pinched nerve for several weeks. It makes even just driving to these events awful.

I arrived on Friday to get 2 practices in and only on the asphalt configuration. I brought the WR250E with it's new Amorge 50XG battery pack on the new battle trailer to get some track time on it and maybe race the DTX race. It was 100F at the track when I arrived!

Got one practice in on the WR250 on the asphalt only, it was great but the motor overheated as it was 100F out.

Last practice of the day and it's for the minis so I hop on the the Light Bee and attempt to bully the minis but it's me that's getting bullied. Remember these are Moto America Mini Cup racers practicing!

Day 1 - The first half of the day was practice and qualifying. I qualified P3 in SM3 and P12 in SM2. Those will be my grid position for Races 1 and 2. After practice the Redshift threw a Code 36 fault code :( but it was still able to race.

Day 2 - Warm up practice on WR250E, SM2 and SM3 Race 2!

After learning the value of doing warm up practice in the last race my plan was to take the WR250E for practice with the minis and DTX bikes so I can let the Light Bee and Redshift standby for Race 2

I admire your dedication and enthusiasm. You seemed to get faster and smoother when chasing another rider. Riding for an audience (narrating during laps) is slowing you down. It’s impossible to divide attention like that. Obviously you have great equipment and physical stamina, so if you quiet the mind down and race for yourself results will improve. My unasked for 2c. Must have been hotter than hades in god-forsaken Redding!
