Halfmoon Bay casual dinner/drink spots… GO! Anything else I should see while I'm there? Never been figured today is as good a day as any to check it out!

"fish wife" restaurant in Princeton-by-the-sea Near HMB airport

moss beach distillery restaurant. supposedly haunted!

Moss Beach Distillery is mediocre at best (but their happy hour is primo)

Barbara's is good and so is Catch JoAnnes (they're both in Princeton Landing)
Flavor is not bad depending on when you go. They make a great ramen in house.

It's Italia is good (just above casual) and so is the Sushi Place across the street (HMB)

The sandwich shop next to the benito house is amazing - the benito is great for a beer - if the benito is making burgers again, get one - they're really good

Next time come up on a Saturday and get Chain from Raman.

Cafe Gibraltar is excellent but pricey....they are Greek, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean

425 Ave Alhambra
El Granada, CA 94018

We also like Flavor (they moved across the street where all the action is) and Mezza Luna - good italian.

touristy, but decent food, and great view. best meal i had there was during a violent storm. the waves were breaking over the road out front, and seawater was leaking in through the windows. HMB is not what i would consider a culinary destination - so it's all about location. which miramar has in spades.

That seafood chowder is easily the best thing on the menu. The rest of the food is decent but not worth waiting an hour for.

Protip: Get reservation for a window seat and you could be seeing this exact thing....

totally. but earlier in the day is awesome also. have enjoyed a meal while watching whales in the distance and also pods of dolphins moving back and forth across the surf line.

We ended up going to Miramar, thank you for all the recommendations! It was a slow sunday evening so we had a fire pit on the patio to ourselves and watched the sunset through the fog. the seafood chowder was on point and Halibut was the catch of the day so I was pretty stoked on the food!

I will definitely be back to explore HMB a bit more, seemed like a pretty rad little beach town from the little walking and exploring we did.

BARF Delivered again, thanks kooks! :twofinger!

Miramar is great for the view and food is decent to good. I ate at Pasta Moon in the downtown area last week and had an awesome meal. It's Italia is also a fav.
