(spoiler alert)
I did my own little tour of Baltimore stopping at some of the main spots filmed for The Wire, an HBO hit series.
Welcome to Baltimore
Our first stop is at Bodie's corner. This is where he peddled drugs and where he was gunned down. I didn't take a picture of the corner as viewed from across the street because it was a bit unsavory, so to speak. So you get the view from where the cops would be positioned instead.
(it's down the road where the road turns right, that's his corner)
This is where the Barksdale crew would get seafood take-out (lake trout scene). The people running the counter were not the friendliest of people but the food was okay.
Prop Joe was an Eastside Kingpin who was a smart businessman and set-up a co-op between drug dealers.
The Greek was a sneaky, little old guy who sold the product to everyone. One of the major distributors. Here was his little restaurant.
(Ironically it's about a 5 minute walk to the Major Crimes building)
Here are some more pictures: Major Crimes building, Marlo's hang-out, and a coupe others.
