That may be, but the difference between being cultured, and being a snob is how much common behavior one is able to participate in and appreciate.

The cultured individual knows how tell you what region of Scotland his scotch is from by the taste, but would never turn down a shot of rotgut like Jack Daniels if that is what the bar is serving.

He should know the color and texture of a properly seared Wagyu Burger, but never pass up the opportunity to enjoy a Quarter Pounder with Cheese.

You get the idea. Being properly educated in the finer things in life does not mandate you be, "too good," for those things less fine, but good enough for the common man

Never said I would turn down a Bud or McDonalds if it was the only thing available. But if there's a choice on premise, then I'm ordering something I like better, rather than conforming with the bros just to play the good 'ol boy bit.

Makes good sense to me. Order whatever you want on menu, of course. Just either don't be too good to go to some bullshit chain joint, because they don't have your Gay Filtered Wheat Mountain Spring Vagina Beer with a twist of lime, or admit your a snob and own it for what it is. Me, I try to be very accessible about how I engage the world, but I am a bit of a snob about mustard. It is an egotistical indulgence I allow myself and I recognize it for what it is.

Is PBR the same price as Heineken? Weird, I was always left with the impression that it was the next tier up with like, Sam Addams and crap like that.
 
PBR is better than coors, budweiser, and miller
