greetings from SF! I like touring, twisties, and a little tinkering. outside of motorcycles, I spend a lot of time coding and cooking up new vegan recipes.

Riding is a way of life to me. One of the most addicting parts about motorcycles is how there's always something new to learn about them. I also enjoy being part of the riding community and the chosen family you can find on the road. I moved to the bay in 2018, started riding in 2020, and have already made a lifetime's worth of memories thanks to bikes.

I would love to get better at riding off-road and am interested in learning about routes as well as groups that welcome beginner/intermediate dual sport riders. Let me know if you have tips.

Sounds like you dig the 2 wheel vibe like so many others here.

Welcome, check out the Adventure riding forum, there's a long thread on Knoxville OHV which is doable on a dual sport from SF. Once they get the bridge done you can do the whole ride to Cache Creek and back. Also, Stoneybarf, while Dirt Bike focused attracts some ADV and dual sport bikes as well so you can find fun rides with those folks and it's just a good time all around.

awesome, I'll definitely have to check Knoxville OHV out sometime. Thank you Nathan!

Welcome to BARF from another woman rider. FYI, there is a women's forum with several women who do off road. Ask a moderator to join
