Hey Guys, Need To Pick Your Brains For a Second

Minor busted with drugs and alcohol, parent(s?) don't care, and currently trying to figure out how to get out of losing license... all while living in one of the most expensive communities in the country. Also, you bought the bike because your parents didn't want you doing something unsafe, not because they couldn't afford it. They bought you a $2k car because they obviously know you smoke/drink and drive, and therefor know the car will likely be not long for this world. It's not rocket science...

Judging me for what reason? My parent can't afford to spend more money on a car... just because I live in an expensive community doesn't mean my family is rolling in dough.

I have never driven drunk... I almost never drink because teenagers often get the worst quality alcohol and I hate the idea of forcing down alcohol to have a good time.

A motorcycle is a toy, a hobby.. my parents aren't willing to dish out a couple grand for a hobby. And I had the support of my dad, because he used to ride... jeez crank1000, you fail at judging me

whatever dude, you are young and you fucked up, however you looked at it. the law may seem unreasonable, but whatya gonna do? pay the time, and i highly suggest you get it out of the way.

i got an underage drinking when i was 17 or 18, took my license for 3 months. BUT, i was dumb enough to drive with my suspended license and got busted, then they took it for another year, plus restated my initial 3 months because I didnt give them my actual license. do you know what it's like to have your prom date pick YOU up?
Like i says, just take it. it'll all be over soon (this may have many meanings depending on your outlook, lol)

down here in SD county, an MIP (minor in possession of alcohol) is an automatic loss of license for one year. there is absolutely no way out of it as i know quite a few ppl that lawyer'd up and tried. most likely u somehow admitted to the alcohol and weed being somehow yours.... so, man up and accept the punishment.

just think, if you attempt to push the punishment back until after summer, you'll still be missing out on the following summer!!!

oh, and restricted licenses are usually granted to anyone needing to drive to school and/or work. of course, this is all up the judge so be nice.

From my own experience, I got busted for a MIP when I was 20. Like the op, I had beer in a backpack (not a good hiding place apparently) on the beach in Santa Cruz. Punishment was a fine of about $400 and loss of license for a year (except for school and work).

When I went to court, the judge asked if I wanted representation cause it was a serious matter. I hadn't planned on it but there was conveniently one there and he charged $25, so I said sure. The judge asked if I had any savings, assets, or property which I answered no. He then asked if I was wearing shoes and everyone had a nice laugh :laughing :thumbdown He gave his ruling and that was that. I was like wtf did I just pay $25 for when the guy didn't do anything. Anyway, also like the op, I took the fall for all my friends there at the time and was the only one that got in trouble. Probably not the smartest thing to do but whatever. Just do the time and get it over with. You can ride to school and work...there's your way out.

This is why I always finish the alcohol before I leave the party.
if you can't chug the 10% left in the bottle, leave it at the party.

Drugs are bad. M'kay

Sometimes when you do things high it seems like you are better than them. I always smell people getting high in cars when I drive behind them on my bike. Never seen them crash though.
