Hello. Does anyone have Honda Grom? If you do:

-What is your top speed? Mine tops at 54-56mph - stock. and i only weight 135!
I was reading other people reaching 65, not sure how. Just wanted to see what speed do you guys reach on this monster :)

Just sold my Grom to pick up new R6. I weight 155lbs. I used to commute from San Lorenzo, over the 92 to Foster City for 3 months. The fastest I got was 64 on a straight 67 going downhill.

For commuting hours, it's perfect. Very comfortable yet could use just a tad bit power.

My wife is small and she can get it up to 63-65 but I have AFR+, full Yoshi, and intake mod. On a small incline with a tailwind she has gotten it to 72 indicated.

I can get it to 55 no tuck but I'm a 200lb dude. So 56mph stock is not bad.

With the DCR cam you should be able to hold 60, I think.

hmm i cannot get past 56 in a straight. i feel like its supposed to got a little bit faster. i get to 56 in 3rd gear pretty much and in 4th gear it does not accelerate any further

Yeah at 56 in 3rd you're hitting the rev limiter.

Seems like in 4th the Grom runs way lean so that's why you're not getting any acceleration.

How many miles do you have on your Grom? Once mine got broken in at 1500-2000 miles it did get faster.

Once you hit the torque peak and terminal drag, that is it a change in gearing wont change that.

ATGATT, you crazies.

Yes! :laughing
Some knucklehead on a Vespa passed me the other day doing 70 wearing only a helmet & work attire.. And changing lanes...a lot.. :facepalm

Thanks, thats good to know. mine only has like 200 miles

Not sure what they guy had in or on his besides a pipe. but I have seen one do 72 indicated on my gps. I was amazed they guy was tiny though. Maybe 5'1"

I can get an indicated 62mph tucked in. I weigh 230lbs. That is probably 55.

I'm right around 58 mph as well, about 155 lbs.

63-65?

I need to start looking into modding my little grom:ride

Yeah. I'll get a video of the performance one of these days. It's noticeably faster after mods.

Still seems like the best money spent on these things would be a big bore and tune. You could do that for the price of a yoshi pipe.. I still think the performance vs. cost ratio is horribly off for these things. And nope novelty factor doesn't make up the difference.

I dont even think a grom is legal to be on the freeway in the first place, dear god riding it over the bridge sounds like alot of work as well.
