Man, every time Guitar Hero or Rock Band is discussed, a bunch of butt-hurt "musicians" have to cry about how it's not really playing music, and gamers should spend their time learning a "real" instrument. Playing music games and playing a real instrument are NOT mutually exclusive, in the exact same way that playing Tourist Trophy and being a real rider, or playing Madden and playing real football are not mutually exclusive. Get over yourselves.

I'm not butt hurt I'm just saying. don't come on a forum spitting hot shit about how great you are at a game that emulates music and expect not to get flamed for it. I'm a musician and a Gamer. As a musician I know that 90% of the population doesn't know their ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to music. and as a gamer I know I could probably beat most of you at any FPS out:laughing:twofinger shit I could probably beat you so bad, you'll hurl your controller at the tv, run upstairs to your room and try to jam the remote up your azz:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

thats because these games, along with games like wii bowling, have officialy made video games jump the shark into pure lazy looserdome. :twofinger:laughing

In which instrument? guitar?
I can play some basic rifs on a REAL electric guitar, like our national anthem = smoke on the water, shout at the devil, stuff like that.
It has been a while since I played electric. If you are currently playing and producing, you win. I haven't played my dad's "axe"
in several years.

The clock was set.
The power had gone out 2 days prior and I have 5 clocks in my house, it woulda taken like whole minutes to set all those. I was recently laid off my main job and am kinda unemployed right now so I just don’t have that Kinda time on my hands. So at 11:58pm I went out to my circuit breaker for the house.
At 11:59 I turned the main disconnect off, and as soon as my phone turned 12:00 I turned the disconnect back on and “ta da!” all my clocks are now in synch and showing the correct time… they just flash.
creative genius or lazy bum... you decide.

I don't have x box.
My last system was Nintendo 64. My parents got it for me when it was released in... '96?
and just this last Christmas my parents got me the wii.
so going from a 64 to a wii is quite a step up for me.
 
I had to open this thread given the title. I actually read it all :D It's funny.

LOTS of people play video games and no one cares but if it involves playing an instrument, that's a different story. I don't play any video game very often but I've played guitar hero and rock band and had fun doing it.

BTW, some friends of mine are pretty good at it. This was taped at Bay Area Skydiving in Byron.
