How I’ve Spent $3,729.83 on My Yamaha R3 So Far

I need a new couch, walls painted, light fixtures and appliances replaced... Too many other things taking priority over sparkly bike bits. Although I do enjoy watching what other people do with their machines.

If you post on the internet for the whole world to see, I guess you gotta be ready for what the whole world has to say too :gsxrgrl

... would love to compare the
added up receipts in the link’s “sideways” project ... :laughing:thumbup

... hmmm, may have to go
back and check ... bet
a nickel the costs
are hard to find ... :party

edit: well, the receipts are not presented in the first post, anyway ... :toothless

PS: impressed with the R3’s BRG dyno results ... :cool

PPS: I sure as heck n-e-v-e-r add up my receipts ... :rolleyes

Without a doubt.

I only live 4 miles from work so the miles haven't built up that quick. I've put around 400 miles on in the past 2 months. I'm sure I'll have more opportunity in the spring/summer.

I'm not gonna knock you for the mods. I've always said "A bike isn't truly mine until I've modified it one way or another." Like you, I enjoy the research, the hunt, the further hunt for a bargain, etc. I get it.

But, here's where we differ... When I was single and riding passionately every day... I'd put 400 miles on my bike... in a weekend just riding 9, 35, 84, 92, 1 and all the little roads in between that connect them. Modding is fun, but keep your eye on the prize... ride.

Have fun. You're an awesome addition to BARF. Honest, passionate, courteous, and can take a virtual punch. Hope you stick around. :thumbup :ride

I appreciate the kind words, thank you.

I completely agree that I need to ride more and I think about it all the time.

But then there’s Mamma (my wife), and my two kids (7 y/o daughter and 9 y/o son) vying for my attention. Not to mention my two dogs, work overtime and night classes at Solano CC.

I’ve only gotten in to riding in the past two years primarily due to my buddy at work telling me what I was missing out on.

I fully intend on working on my riding skills and getting a lot more miles in this year. It’s an awesome sport, pastime, way of life :ride

BTW: this really is an awesome group. Most other forums people discuss the topic at hand but don’t know each other well. Seems to me that’s where BARF differs. It has a strong sense of community and I think it’s great.

I just made my first donation to keep this place up and running.
