How many riders switched to LED headlights from halogen?

Obviously the engineering teams at Hella, Sylvania, and Osram, are missing something. They need to read this thread for additional enlightenment.
One challenge is LED's generate significant heat. Shove them in a housing not designed to dump that heat and shake & bake baby, shake & bake.

Don’t LEDs have significantly less heat than the halogens the OP is changing out?
Less heat has been my experience with the LED replacements I've put in turn signal, running, and brake light housings, but every LED that I've purchased for head, driving, and fog lights has been significantly hotter. These types of bulbs either have huge heatsinks, or fans to cool them.

It's not the LED that gets hot, it's the power supply. There are various ways to remediate the heat issue. Large sinks or fans are a couple of ways. The heat sinks can be one of various configurations. None of the heat sinks or fans that I have seen are contained within the headlight housing which results in less heat within the housing.
