How to clean?

We’re getting a mix of “how to get the crud out of my knobbies” and “how do I keep my streetbike’s wheels shinesy” responses.

I think the OP is asking about dirt bike cleaning. Please don’t use WD-40 on your tires.

Haven't seen any posts about cleaning knobbies.

The OP is talking about cleaning around the spokes, where they meet the wheel, on his Burtale RR.

As others have said, a bit of solvent, elbow grease and some patience will do you well. I use WD-40 and some rags, but my wheels aren't as fancy as yours.

I find if I really want to clean my wheels, taking them off makes it a lot easier. But, I only clean the bike that well usually once a year. Maybe I'll clean up like that if the wheels are off for another reason.

I think there was some confusion because the OP mentioned tires, but his photo showed he wanted to keep his white Kineo rims clean.

My bike, I love it but those tires need constant cleaning.

When I pull the wheels off my bikes to replace the tires, that's when I give the area the once over twice. With the wheel gone you can get to almost the entire under area of the bike, especially the rear with all that grime. I clean the wheels before I put them back on the bike.

I probably would never buy white wheels

Agreed, but those came on the bike, and that's a good looking bike. It would be easy for me to forget when bike shopping that if I bought a blingy bike like that, I'd want to keep it clean, and it might be a lot of work.

For those wheels I might try a pressure washer.

Paint the wheels black

Blasphemy. That bike looks beautiful. Not too familiar with those wheels, but I would go with a soft bristled tooth brush some wheel cleaner, and a spray sealer to try and make the next time easier.

why are you not posting pictures of clean wheels?
