How to connect front blinkers to rear

My wire harness was cut, I was thinking about hooking the rear blinkers to the front blinker wires. using 20 AWG wire. Wires are super small.

Any thoughts on how to connect the wires?

Even with a cut harness, the correct wires should be somewhere around the seat. Splicing into those would be a lot easier than running wire from the headlight to the tail.

This. Find the cut end of the harness, hook your volt meter's ground to the frame. (Not a painted surface but a nice metal ground.) And then turn on the turn signals and probe the ends of the cut wires until you find the one with the voltage turning on and off. Take note of the markings on the wire and then repeat for the other turnsignal. Then hook up at that point.

If your harness is really buggered up and it's easier to run wires the full lenth of the bike, then simply hook the rear turn signal in parallel with the front turn signal.

That's what I did. found the wires! Sweeet.

I'd run six or eight gauge to be sure.

(Actually 18 or 20 should be fine. Use what is there now)

Hell, use 2 gauge if you really want to be sure. :teeth

OP: Just match as closely what's already there.

FYI: The wire that goes to the center conductor in the socket generally goes to positive (your wiring harness) and the wire that goes to the socket itself (that the bulb plugs into) goes to ground (usually the frame).

If your turn signals use the newer type bulbs where the end of the bulb is glass and the bulb wire contacts are just wrapped back over the flattened end of the bulb, then it really doesn't matter which wire goes where. Though if one wire is green or black, I'd run that one to ground.
 
I would use heat shrink tubing on your connections to seal them.
