How to instal a forum on MY website?

The funny thing about that is that plenty of hobbyists start out that way. But then the building and developing and polishing begins, then blamo! all of a sudden you actually care about your site and its assets. Then you're stuck having to find a workaround to not having the right tools to admin, when the jobs could have been done right in the first place.
My offer still stands, Jorbar. If you need help getting this launched, hit me with a PM. What's this forum gonna be about anyway?
You completely hit the nail on the head. I started out that way, as running a hobby site. 6 Months later it blossomed into building 10 sites, hosting 2, and running 2 full time. :shocker On the 2 that I host, I sluffed off on updates on one... Welp that cost me about 3 full days of dealing with uninstall, reinstall, patching, database corrections and recovery (please keep in mind I am not running a "basic" phpBB2 config, but customized bits here and there). This was just as the site took off, with over 200 unique visits a day, and over 20GB of traffic a month. Not much most would say, but for a "hobby" site, it was a task and a half.
