elskipador does not pick up a phone or answer messages, guess he is too busy or something? whatever!![]()

I could never get Elskip to commit to doing work and finally he just stopped returning my PM's.
Find someone who is serious about their work, not some dude who picks and chooses then lies about it on the forums![]()

Whoa horsey... Allow me to jump in and defend ol El Skippy. How would he have such a reputation as an awesome mechanic? If he wasn't an awesome mechanic? (that includes having a good bed side manner and putting up the the poopooer naysayers such as yourself)
Hell.. I defer to Skip.. cause he does it for a living and I wrench as a hobby..
Don't complain.. and don't throw turds.. You don't know how hard it is to make a living as a mechanic and dude has put in his time, he every right to cheery pick the good work as far as I'm concerned.

No problem with cherry picking. Don't fuck around with me giving me a quote, then not return PM's to schedule etc. If you don't want to do it, say so and let me move on with my life.
You have no idea if I know how hard it is to make a living as a mechanic or a small business owner. He is clearly disorganized based on many posts about lack of response. His work seems to be good if you can get him to do it. The OP had a simliar experience as me.
I don't think the dude walks on water.
Why shouldn't I post my experiences? I don't go around telling everyone that posts good stuff about him to not post that crap since I disagree. I'm not throwing turds either. I'm not the only one with this particular complaint (do a search). If El Skippy doesn't like it, he can either change his ways or get back to folks. Part of doing business is taking the good with the bad. This happends to be a weakness of his, so I pointed it out.
When I pointed it out on a thread, he said he never got my PM's. I then posted them and he never responded. Sticking your head in the ground about your own problems shows me a lack of maturity about how you deal with real issues when they come up. Maybe he does do good work, but how does he handle it when something goes wrong? I don't know, but wouldn't put up the money to find out.
a...actually i was just kinda' weirded out by how you sent me a pm, about the same work, with the same phone # listed in both pm's, from 2 different accounts. so i decided that something must be fishy & just didn't reply. i notice that the 1 account http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/member.php?u=41817 is now banned.elskipador does not pick up a phone or answer messages, guess he is too busy or something? whatever!![]()
really? i searched through all your posts & the 1 below is the only one i could find that even mentions pm's.....& you didn't "qoute" the pm or copy paste it so that i could actually see the pm that you said you sent me. now i'm not upset @ all that you're bitching about not getting a call back or whatever, maybe if i was a receptionist i would, but i'm not, i'm a mechanic & you've never seen me work on anything or seen what tools i have so how in the world would you know if i'm disorganized? what i am upset by is you calling me a liar, when you can't even back it up. thats pretty low, but i'm a forgiving guy, why don't you come up to the sf meet tomorrow & we can discuss it without all these keyboards & internets in the way?I could never get Elskip to commit to doing work and finally he just stopped returning my PM's.

It has been a while.
Valve adjustment and carb sync on my VFR750F. You replied to the first one, but not to the second one to schedule it, then I sent another and you didn't reply to that one.

you 100% sure you were talking to me? not supernatural or alanrider? the reason i ask is that i've never quoted anybody 400 for the valve adjustment on a late 80's~1998 vfr750...ever! thats 100 more than i would normally charge. the usual qoute is 3~4 hours labor @ 40.00 an hour & 8.00 for each shim we change out. so depending on how many valves you have out of adjustment you'd be looking @ 8.00~128 in shims. the whole quote would have been for 120~300.The first thing I PMd you about was doing a checkout on a CX500.You never got back to me on that one. I figured OK, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and tried again with the VFR valves. You quoted me 400 for the valve adjustment and I PMd you back a couple of times asking to schedule it and never got a reply.
me to...& what i see is someone coming on the internetz calling someone else they don't know & have never meet a liar & not serious about their job & not being able to back it up with proof & can't even get the facts straight on the stuff they were originally talking about.I draw conclusions based on actions that I can see.
