July? What about WSB? Back in the ole days, WSB was in April & GP in Sept/October.....can't remember which. Should be good tho. Haven't been to the GP race since 1993!

The WSBK contract with laguna ran out this year, and with all the stupid fucks that bought houses around laguna, they're only allowed a set number of race weekends per year. Which would you rather see, MotoGP or the Ducati Cup?

I'm never going to be able to justify moving away from this area now.

As if Laguna weren't over-hyped, over-crowded, and expensive enough already...

Anyone else thinking it might be cheaper and easier to fly over to Europe to catch a GP?

I read somewhere that the changes have to do mainly with run off but also with relocating one of the pedestrian bridges.

No, but that sounds like a good plan anyway. :D :thumbup How about Spain?

What we need to do is take barf public at around a $4B valuation so we can just buy up all the land around Laguna to free it from the reign of terror.

Dibs on a house you can see from T6!

That's one badass house, but a little too far from the track for me.

OK so I called SCRAMP, and they are telling me that they are hearing the same rumors as us, and nothing is finalized and therefore no information is available.

...went to laguna-seca.com, they had something we BARFers may be interested in: buy your own brick on the Corkscrew! Check out a new thread I'll start...so as to not bastardize.

Dear God, I know I haven't been the best person in the world, both morally and ethically. However, in light of the recent developments in Moto GP being brought to Laguna Seca, I'm willing to change my heathen ways and live a pure and righteous life. Please find it in your infinate wisdom to guide the powers that be in the Moto GP organization to grant us a Moto GP race in 2005. Amen.
[/prayer]

Amen to that :teeth :angel

I am there. I really want to see the big dogs in person!

If you go at the right time, and have a couple weeks off, you could actually catch two GPs! I'd be up for pretty much any of them...

Might be fun to see Rossi race in Italy :teeth

FYI, still plenty of good seats available for the penultimate round of the 2004 season at Valencia!

It will be great to the GPs here in the US. It seems so strange after all these years that there were issues that kept the most prestigious race out the largest motorcycle market. Having Hayden, Edwards, Hopkins, and Roberts back on a track they know so well will make for an interesting race.:thumbup I guess now I will have to look for another reason to go to Italy. ;) Let's goooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!:burnout

Maybe we'll see the track record drop to the 1:20-1:21 range!! 250HP at Laguna, bring it on.

AMEN!

Now that it looks like MotoGP is returning to Laguna, we need to start working on getting F1 sidecars over here.

From what I have read, SCRAMP is allowed five "events" per year. That is cars and bikes. So from what I have read WSB might get the heave if GP comes.

You can pretty much count WSBK gone either way at this point. I think they might be going to AL, but they're not going to be at Laguna next year.
