I'm selling a VERY RARE car (Stutz Blackhawk); maybe you know someone to help?

paging maxandgrinch to the white courtesy phone......

Keep me out of this please..... :twofinger :laughing

Contact the Blackhawk Auto Museum. Maybe Behring wants to buy it.........

The Blackhawk is now a part of the Smithsonian - if they wanted one of those they'd ask the DEA, and not sell the next one at the next auction - like the Tucker in the Smithsonian collection - with suspicious burn marks on the seat.

Mr. B has sold the majority of his cars - and most at the museum are/were on loan from others anyways. gave the museum to the Smithsonian along with some cash, and some legacy cha-ching IIRC - that's why it is now called the the National Museum of American History, Behring Center. I guess we can't fault piddly little stadiums selling space out front....

Nothing more hilarious than hearing the terms "car" and "investment" in the same sentence.

Good luck with sale!

Didn't have the time to read the Forbes article last week did ya'?

Options to profit:
A) Take 2-3 years and write a screenplay where the studly main character drives one, but it gets blown up near the beginning killing someone like Jolie or Kidmann (or a twist and it's Damon or Redford) and include the car as a required part of the $30k script purchase.

B) Rent it out THIS WEEKEND to someone going to a Pimp-n-Ho party.

C) Get a battery powered printer, little digi-cam, stanchions, and charge people to have their picture taken with it - in a pimp/ho costume.

D) Get it appraised, donate it to PETA (the Eating Tasty Animals faction) and take it as a write-off.

E) SEMA is in Vegas next week, put some 30" dubs on it, and park it on the strip.

F) Trade it for my MV Agusta Moped? Straight across. It's the only one in the US.

G) Convince the new Stutz Motor Car Company (just like the new Norton/Bugatti/Spyker companies) to buy it for their museum press tour first new car when it is released in 2010 (not a mis-type)

If you do your research, you might find there is one currently for sale at $68K.

I love that whoever this guy is, he's got to have a search engine continuously crawling the web for any new mention of these cars, and then jumps on it.

couldn't have anything to do with the fact I linked his site three or four times for research purposes about tracking Stutz VIN numbers, could it?
:rolleyes

aw but M&G, you're like, our resident WTF is that car? guy :laughing

*clarification note*

For this thread, the 'WTF' in the above posting stands for 'why the fuck'.....

Thank you.

yes, barf, can we PLEASE have no one get banned as a result of me posting about selling this old ass FUGLY car? please?! :laughing

i cant take u guys anywhere :rolleyes

:twofinger

and yes, agreed, any penny i make over what i paid, i'm gonna be happy with. I already KNOW i can double my money by doing NOTHING and selling the car TODAY; question is: can i tripple or 4x it (or more) if i put a bit of time and $ into the vehicle... time will tell....

No, but when he does he's gonna be Hookers and Blow rich. :laughing

not unless it's something really special for a 63. they ain't cheap for sure, but not quite hookers and blow. now my dad bought one in 66 and it's in the garage right now. his ROI should be pretty good, though if he sells it i'll kill him!

wow, got me thinking.....

......i'm so glad this car is a fugly thing that i want nothing to do with; cuz if it was some sexy oldschool Porsche or Corvette - i'd be tempted to keep it! :laughing

super or normal?

really nice car, i remember your screen name because you had that as your avatar... hooker and blow implies 6 figures to me... so maybe if you had 2 just like that one? :teeth

Please keep the pretty Porsches out of here.

This thread is about underpowered, shitty suspensioned, Italian land yachts.

I wonder if you can extract all the gold out of the interior.

:teeth

Plus...Charlie has a girlfriend, so we just need the blow.
