from that angle it doesnt look Indian at all - Very much Road Glide copy-like

Agreed, but I think it's all in the fairing.
The comparisons seem to end at the frame/seat/tail.

i feel like they should step out just a little bit - do something better with the fairing and maybe go with the fuller front wheel fender thats sort of indian-iconic

Yea, I owned a V-rod for a few years,

Until I saw a Hyper parked next to a dumpster in Sturgis '07
I'm sure it will be able to corner and handle better than a v-rod. It should also be more comfortable.

Standard VRod, yes.
VRod Street Rod, no. Those bikes were so overlooked that it makes me cry.
Nonetheless, I am genuinely excited to see this bike come to fruition.
