Information needed by wife of fellow rider involved in a very serious accident in Morgan Hill 9/11

Hey folks, this isn't for me but the wife of the rider.

Here is the body of her email:

Hi. I was looking at the reports and noticed that there are 2 MC accidents near each other and notice that both the MC the white Nissan are the same description in both incedences. Can you tell me if they are connected to one another? If not how do I get more info on the incident # 2019_190911MY00295?
I am the wife of the man on the MC and the Morgan Hill Police are not giving me any info and since my husband is not coherent due to severe head trauma and other injuries I need to find out as much info ASAP. Please email what you can ASAP and you can call me at (xxx)xxx-xxxx

I don't know anything about any of those incidents, but why wouldn't police give info to the wife? Seems strange to me.

Depends on when the wife contacted the police. It usually takes 14 days for a police report to be filed so if she inquired within that timeframe, it's a canned response by the LEOs.

Brett, the incident in your post, MY00295, occurred at 3:50 PM in Monterey County, nowhere near Morgan Hill.

In incident MY00231 on the same date at 1:44 PM, a motorcycle ran from CHP on Monterey St near Tennant Ave. The officer did not pursue but put it out as a BOL. Shortly after, the bike collided with another (unidentified) vehicle, apparently in Morgan Hill. So the crash is MHPD's and there would be no further info in the CHP CAD log.

Then there was no accident at all. Sounds more like an "assault with a deadly weapon" to me if a deliberate act. Accidents are never deliberate.

FWIW, Page 1 of a police report is often available within 24 hours. Because this is a major injury accident the report will take longer.
Does the wife's insurance company have page 1 yet? This will give the information of parties involved including witnesses.

Pt Lobos is in Carmel, +/- sixty miles south of Morgan Hill. Its handled by the Salinas office of the CHP, Morgan Hill is handled by the Gilroy office.
