CBRaceRR, will add you in for May. 250 is no problem. People have done the Iron Butt Rally (11 days 10,000+ miles on them). If your happy on the freeway on it... it will do the miles.

I know a guy that did Coast to Coast in 50 hours on a Canadian Honda 125R. 1000 in 24s have been done on hopped up 49cc scooters... Course those folks are lighter than me, and carry a lot of weight in the stones...

Quick update from the field. All goes well. Couple of folks taking wrong turns. And I must have lost a brake caliper bolt on the ride over to the start. Quick stop home for a new one had me meet up with folks at stop #2. 1/3 of the way done and it's only noon. Good pace.

I see you made it to Avenal. Looks like the weather has been holding up so far. Hope you manage to beat the rain home! :thumbup

EDIT: Probably won't though. Rain is starting in Fairfield right now.

+1

Looking good!

Spotwalla tracking is awesome :thumbup.....looks like you're just about thru SJ and joining 680N for the last leg home...hope the rain remains light for you guys.

Ride safe barfeR's. I'm tentative as a noob for the May 4th ride. If my bi-sexual partner can join me. I'm down (first post and everything!!)

I saw you three going north in Fremont. I was in my limo getting a ride home....lol

PS other than Garbeville I never saw a drop of rain.

Wow, what a ride. Can't thank Steve enough for putting this together. The rain wasn't a factor, the wind was worse.

I made a few mental notes to pass along to the next group.
1- Took longer than I thought
2- Feel better than I expected (thanks Corbin seats)
3- Throttle lock is awesome
4- I-5 is boring
5- A fast time has more to do with managing your stops than riding fast.
6- Eye drops, chap stick, gear for hot and cold
7- The sorest part of me is my wrists. Wrap them in medical tape.
8- Bring something to clean your faceshield
9- Eat out of your saddlebag, incl water

Thanks for the notes. When I do long distance rides a small Plexus spray, Microfiber cloth, Chapstick, and CamelBak are my friend.

Sounds like the ride went smoothly for everyone. :thumbup

Looking forward to May. :ride
