I love you so much

Put it in for longer time, but lower power. Then let it sit after it's done a few minutes; they aren't joking when they say that in the directions, it evens out the hot and cool spots.

there is no instant gratification with a pot pie. you don't just pop it in the nuker on high for 5 minutes. what the hell is the matter with you? you put that bitch on 'delicate defrost' for 15, then stick it in the oven that was heating up during those 15 minutes of stomach growling agony. then you put it in the 450 degree oven for 5-10 minutes and suffer through that, as well as 5 minutes of cool down so you don't scald your filthy, greedy little mouth.

Half of everything in the world appears to have been made by people on drugs. This seems to be one of the less tempting riddles to tackle. Also you enjoy these things on drugs to make sure you enjoy them the way they were meant to be enjoyed!

I cook the pot pie in microwave to about 75% then finish it off in toaster oven.

but I try not to eat processed foods as much as possible.

I like some hawt poon as much as the next guy but notice I said 'hawt' and not 'molten lava.' Nfw is my dick touching that delicious but scorching hot sauce. Maybe if it wasn't so hot and maybe if I was flexible enough to lick it off, but it is and I'm not.

:facepalm

I agree, that was a really dumb suggestion.

Obviously you should have a co-worker stick HIS dick in it :thumbup

Pot pies are kiddie food and better in conception, than in execution, as proven above. I mean, delicious, but kiddie food. It's like when my kids were little and I had to cut everything into little squares and put toothpicks in em to get them to eat the stuff. Or making meatloaf muffins. It works, btw. My issue with pot pies is that you never get the right balance of dough to goo. You always end up wishing you had more of the delicious dough to go with the creamy goo, half of which is moltenly glued to the serving container.

The exception of course are the various Brit lunch foods, like pasties and kidney pies and such...Those are more grown-up, somehow. Must be the accent.

My issue is being trapped at lunch and having to explore frozen food offerings. Annie's was suggested, I'm all ears for grown up non sucky frozen food. I usually go for curry, chicken tika masala, or eggplant parm, but the pot pie just sounded awesome that day.

No doubt. Lunch is a perpetual issue. I am lucky, Ms BA cooks a pot of soup once a week and I bring that everyday pretty much. Everyone around me has all these mcMeals filled with all these chemicals, because, they have names like Healthy Choice and Smart and Lean and shit. And they're all on diets but it aint workin.

Frozen food is fucking gross. Make your lunch. That is all.

I have a narrow lunch window at my new gig and am usually eating at my desk. Going off campus is a bitch so I'm learning to explore the frozen food offerings from Safeway.

I've been on a sandwich making rampage and thought I'd branch out. Results thus far have been unimpressive.

Maybe I should have called this thread "what frozen lunches do NOT suck?"

If your Safeway carries the Herdez brand rice bowls, try them out. They're surprisingly good. Add hot sauce to taste.
