It's happening, I am building a Monster!

Inspiration?
M900 build #3 is rolling off my operating table this weekend.
Full Frankenstien rebuild of a crashed salvaged 1996 frame bike, swapped in a clean title straight 1994 frame and built with the best parts from my parts piles to good as new.
I like building monsters. I forgot to take the fully disassembled "engine alone" picture because I was having too much fun building, by the time I remembered to take a pic it was a couple of hours later and I had half a bike already...

I miss my M900. Great bike, easy to wrench on, and sexy as hell. :thumbup

You don't have to miss it, that one I just built will be for sale shortly... wink wink. (Edit: nvm, I just saw your Pakistan sales, have a great time)

I still have a pile of parts if you need them. Moike may be coming by this weekend to get a bunch of stuff for his bike but I will have a lot of what you need. As I said, PM me with a list or to come rummage.

I'll bring the ice cream (and probably eat it all too)... :laughing

We've had a setback at home but next week the bike gets broken down then we repair the wiring harnes and see if it runs.

After much silence, amazing chaos at the home fort, and the passing of my best furry companion it's time to tackle teh monster again.

We sat in a chair just looking at it for several hours today, it's hurt a little worse than I originally thought so there is a change of plans.

This Monster is going to see the sawzall, a welder, a tubing bender, anddepending of another wreck I spotted a few weeks ago is still around I'm going to turn it into a Scrambler.

Stay tuned.

Shouldnthave, PM inbound.

Scrambler. PERFECT! I can't wait to see how this thing progresses. I would also love to help out if you need an extra pair of semi-skilled hands along the way. :thumbup

Yes Aaron, and you were there for the epiphany!

Document it well, and I bet that we can get it featured on Ducati.net. I know the editor-in-chief pretty well and she would probably love to do a write-up of this saga.

Dear Ms. ThumperX,

I think you meant "tore" versus "tour". :)
...the right side bore the brunt. The slider tour the frame at the engine mount...

And, if ya run a sidecar you'll just have to flip her up on two wheels to split lanes. Oops, I meant lane share. :laughing

Ahhh, yes tore not tour :facepalm
2014, the year of proof reading.

No side car for this beauty. Big question, will it be ready for the Spring Rally? Who can lace a pair of Excel wheels up to a set of hubs that work? What hubs and how do I accommodate the existing brakes? Can I just change out the form tubes to add a bit of travel or do I need to replace the entire fork?

This is going to be huge fun!

Something along these lines

I'm just going to hang around and watch this one evolve..
