Jab # 3

1st shot: Pfizer - no response
2nd shot: Pfizer - 18hr strong fever
3rd shot: Moderna - 30hr mild fever

I hope these boosters stop coming eventually cuz I don't want longer and longer fevers :laughing

How ya feeling, OP? I had mine a couple of days ago. Mild fatigue, a headache, and some soreness in my arm, back, neck and ear (wtf--ear?)...however I have a big knot where I got the shot! Looks like I got stung by a bee. :laughing Apparently it's nothing to worry about (after a quick call to a nurse) but it surprised me when I took off my sweater to take a shower the other night. They said that I might get a rash too, and if that happened to take a Benedryl as needed to deal with any itching.

for me 24 hours later, ever so slight tenderness at injection site, slight head fog, so far so good

My wife had a semi intense allergic reaction on jab # 2, pfizer, so kaiser dr wants her to get jab 3 at an actual hospital ( walnut creek) for her appointment , just in case, on Monday.
Yes, I will accompany her!

Any thoughts from the doctor on whether or not it might be a good idea for her to try Moderna as jab # 3 instead?

Y'all have grown the second head out of your neck and can't seem to make left hand turns anymore? Haven't mentioned it since I just assumed that was normal.

The worst part is having to pay for an extra, extra-small helmet. Plus, of course, they have to match.

Moderna #3
Mild soreness at site next day like the first two.
Nothingbuger subsequently.

Received mine on Tuesday. Typical injection site stiffness. I didn't sleep well and wasn't feeling 100% the next day but that might have been related to an important seminar I was presenting in the afternoon and still needed to process the data. I felt fine after the presentation :rofl

wife’s doc advised her to keep 3rd shot the same, pfizer

I read something earlier today that getting a modern booster leads to a more robust immune response than pfizer.

As an aside, after my first shot my arm was so sore that night I could lift it higher than about 30 degrees below horizontal. Got my third shot in early November at the same time I got my flu shot. My left arm (COVID) was slightly more tender than the right arm (flu) but only if I rubbed it. Otherwise I had no side effects.

I don't know if this is reliable information or not but it seems to indicate that it may be beneficial to get the moderna booster.

At the very least it's not some fly-by-night fringe publication.

Yet another dose of Spikevaxx, (Moderna) yesterday. I believe these are half doses from the initial vaxx.
Mine was way high on my shoulder this time, close to 1 1/4" from top, level, shoulder blade as it rolls down. Not the three to four inches of my "normal" biceps, poke.

I can barely tell where I got the jab now, no soreness, slight stiffness, no ache from head nor body.

Everyone on this detail was around 60+, the guy that did me had me by at least ten years.

Update edit, , ,
Pounding keys @ the rate of 3 minutes to load a page, I hadn't worked any muscles in the arm yet.
After I got busy on xmas decorating, big dull ache. A massage, would give me the fire needles for a few seconds.

I'm convinced I did have a battleground, where I got poked, it's working, , ,

Pfizer #1 - no reaction besides local soreness in the arm.
Pfizer #2 - no reaction besides local soreness in the arm.
Pfizer #3 - no reaction besides local soreness in the arm.

I bet a lot of people are in the same boat, but most folks replying are the ones that have a reaction.

Pfizer 2 days ago. No issues.

Moderna, Moderna, Moderna Booster.

"Worst" symptom was a very mild headache for a couple of days with all three.

Nothing at all in other words.

Moderna kicked my butt on the first one.
Moderna kicked my butt worse on the second one.
Pfizer booster, I had a mild headache and sore arm for a couple days.

I'll bet you had covid before you were vaccinated.

Same shots and this is pretty close to my experience, except the sore arm started about 12 hours after the 3rd shot and only lasted like 30 hours or so. The headache started around the same time, lasted only 12 hours or so.

Moderna 1, 2, and booster. Booster not as bad as first which was not as bad as the second. Sore at injection site. It was 5 days each on the first two. I got the boost on Monday morning and the soreness is already clearing. None of the body aches or chills this time so I am not complaining.

The nurse injecting me seemed to be trying to talk me out of it which was a little weird. I sat down and rolled up my sleeve holding it up ready for her to push the needle in then she proceeded to go over all the side effects and things she has heard from people. Then said "so you still want to do it". It was literally a couple minutes of her going on.
