I’m such a vaxxer fan boy I’m getting my flu and shingles today! 6G bishes

Moderna+Moderna last spring. Moderna booster about 24 hours ago.

Some soreness in my left arm last night. Mild headache from late last night through today which is pretty much the same as my second Moderna shot.

Moderna+Moderna last March and April, Moderna booster yesterday at 10:45am. Told all my sisters in a group text at 6:30pm last night that I felt fine, no side effects whatsoever. By 8pm I felt like I'd been hit by a truck. Arm got really sore, achy neck and shoulders, extreme fatigue, chills, congestion, massive headache. I'm just now starting to feel a little bit better but I'm having trouble staying awake for any length of time.

My sisters and I have been looking for Covid tests for the last few days, and there are none to be had here in Oakland or Petaluma. Three of us are getting together for Christmas, one of which is still immunocompromised due to her kidney transplant last December, and we wanted to test ourselves first. Guess I'll check Tracy and Lockeford on the way.

PSA - Ibuprofen seems to work well for sore arms.

Chatted to day with a friend.

Two shots. Got covid. Hit the fam super hard.

Got the booster.... hit the fam hard.

Everybody funny and things can be different for any of us.

Got my moderna booster Monday at 11am. By 10pm I had mild arm soreness and nothing else and was starting to think I lucked out. Nope, started feeling a little achy around 11pm and by midnight I felt feverish and my neck and back were super stiff and painful. Didn't sleep a wink as I couldn't get comfortable. Tuesday was a couch day as I was still feeling off. Woke up Wednesday feeling more or less back to normal save for feeling like I had a mild hangover.

All that and I hear Tmobile gives you a free phone with their 5G so I'm starting to think this wasn't a very good deal.

San Francisco Department of Public Health. Just walk up. They will give you a Covid test, or Covid shot.

Just be mindful that there are certain questions on the paperwork, which the staff there seems to steer you to answer in a way which probably benefits how they receive funding. I refused to check the boxes they asked me to check. The guy working there had a disgusted look on his face when I stated that I will answer truthfully. But none of that matters to me.

The point is that testing and vaccinations are free, for anyone who shows up. If you really want a test, or a vaccine, it's readily available.

I went at lunch yesterday. At lunch today, I got the e-mail and text with my results.

I admit that my biggest fear was going there. There's a good possibility that someone who is sick, is going there to get tested. What if I get infected while waiting in line next to a sick person? But I didn't want to spend money out of my own pocket, to buy an over-the-counter test kit from a store. I wanted a free test.

Depends where you are and that determines if you pay.

A lot of places don’t have the big city resources.
However they might not have the big city problems either.

I have no clue where to get a free test in my suburban world.

Got boosted yesterday morning. Signal strength has improved. Mild arm soreness, and I slept for 13 hours last night but aside from that I'm feeling pretty ship shape. :thumbup

got my pfizer booster along with the flu shot Wednesday afternoon.
One of the arms was a little sore next day, hardly worth noting.
Felt pretty fine.
Went for a tough bike ride next day.
Feeling fine this 3rd day, too.

Palo Alto is in Santa Clara County. It's not as remote as Lassen.

It’s super hard to get a test right now since all schools require a negative test within 72 hours of attendance. Pretty much every kid on the peninsula heading in to school on Monday will require a test this weekend.

Ours is scheduled for tomorrow at 9. We got super lucky finding an appointment.

You’d think, but no such requirement for Cupertino HS. They’re starting Jan 3 and their on site testing resumes afterwards. They cycle the testing at different schools through the week and CHS isn’t till Thursday

Our schools require it but it might have something to do with age and mask adherence. Hard to get a 4 year old to wear a mask properly.

Interesting though because PAMF is overwhelmed with pediatric testing asks.

Elementary schools are providing testing this past week. Really stupid the High Schools didn't IMO. My daughter goes to Lynbrook and will get hers Mon AM but I suspect there will be a big line

Covid test lines are the best place to catch it.

My son is a sophomore in HS and was provided 2 tests. Both have to be negative to return to school Monday after the break.

the testing site I went to was open air. in a parking lot, I think the transmissibility outdoors is almost nil.
