Jeffrey Epstein "Suicide"

That's some high bunk. They have already said he was on his knees and hung himself. It doesn't seem too likely to break bones, slowly straggling yourself to death on your KNEES..

If he sat on the top bunk, drew his knees up and scooted off the side, that would achieve a significant drop. How likely it is he would end up on his knees is another matter.

He had a cellmate before he was transferred to a special housing unit, where he was alone in his cell until his death.

That's a lot of bunk.

Was it debunked?

That's not what I read. I read that he was transferred after removal of suicide watch the the room he died in and he initially had a celly until that celly was transferred somewhere else.

Yes and no.

His original SHU cell mate was a Mr. Tartaglione (convicted police officer) who was transferred out after Epstein made his first attempt. Epstein was provided a second cell mate who was transferred out the morning of his suicide (Friday).

This is being reported almost everywhere

NYT

"In addition, because Mr. Epstein may have tried to commit suicide three weeks earlier, he was supposed to have had another inmate in his cell, three officials said. But the jail had recently transferred his cellmate and allowed Mr. Epstein to be housed alone, a decision that also violated the jail’s procedures, the two officials said."

Fox News

"Officials later revealed the 66-year-old was alone behind bars after his cellmate was removed for an undisclosed reason Friday evening, and the pair working as corrections officers Friday night into Saturday morning reportedly hadn't looked in on the high-profile defendant in several hours."

Hmm... Conflicting information! I read that he was transferred from a shared cell after the initial injuries were discovered :loco

Pretty amazing if he was convicted somewhere like Norway the max amount of time they could sentence him would be 20 years and then would have to demonstrate he's still a threat. Anders Breivik got 21 years for murdering 77 people (though he'll never actually get out).

Non-sequitur.

But he was still alone in his cell at the time of his death.
