Kali Helmets

I am a firm believer in their products ... I have been wearing the Kali Naza helmet for the last two months and it has been the nicest helmet that I have owned. The first thing that impressed me was how light it is .... I don't think there is a helmet on the market that is lighter. The second thing that I will stand behind on Kali Protective helmets is the way they are made ... they fuse the outer shell directly to the EPS liner as one ( instead of two pieces ) making their helmet stronger and lighter than anything on the market. The next plus is that Kali Protectives is a local company out of Morgan Hill and everybody there is super cool and helpful :thumbup.

When I first got my Naza helmet, I noticed I could ride all day with out any concerns of weight or discomfort, it was a lot more quite than my previous HJC FS-10 , and understanding the way the helmet is made has made me feel a bit safer to protect my melon :). The Naza and the Nira CF comes with a super nice helmet bag and optional cheek pads ...

We carry the full line of Kali Helmets here at Santa Clara Cycle. Please feel free to stop on by so I can show you these great helmets. I cannot say enough about a newish product on the market as this one!

I believe Arai makes a helmet that is also 1350g. That said the Naza seems to be at least tied for lightest. I bought one from SCC a month or so ago, and have been happy. I wore it every day, including on day long tours. Comfortable and fit well. My only minor gripe was that the straps didn't feel quite as high quality as my Schuberth, but that's minor. Most importantly, earlier this week I had a rather nasty crash that culminated with me riding face first into a rock at relatively high speed. Without a doubt, without this helmet, I'd be dead right now. Sure other helmets would have also saved me, but this one absolutely did it's job. I'm planning on buying another one.

Cool. I checked them out at SF Moto and got the sales pitch, etc and like them. Looking for more crash stories like RRriders :thumbup

PS Doug- I'm the guy that came into your shop in April with 6 nails in my tires :party

we carry kali products at our store on elcamino (grand prix) awsome lids and they have a great lineup of protection aswell. i like the fact that finally a manufact makes alot of womens and kids specific helmets! awsome stuff so ill add to the vote tally

I've had mine a week or so and love the lightness. Less vis than my HJC AC-12, but also moved down from a Large to Med based on SF Moto suggestion. Good call, fits nearly perfect, and will once break in. Noise seems louder than my HJC as well, but maybe because my AC-12 had a chin spoiler. The breath guard on my Naza has been ditched because it wasn't attached well... Only noticed minor fogging on a super foggy night recently, so not bad!

You CANNOT beat the price to lightness ratio... Arai? plea$e.
