Want to know what else I can do to a stock KX85 motor to gain more speed.

thanks in advance,

:thumbup

Assuming this is your RS85, i'd start off by making sure the bike is always properly jetted and get a v-force reed block.

where / how do u ride it? (if its a supermoto bike get a FMF fatty pipe!)

I ride it on asphalt. Its actually installed on an RS125.

I have the little modifications already, just wondering what else I can do to internally pump the engine

If it is for racing then you should find out what rules are so you don't break them :)

kx 85 engine

I have a kx85 engine in my Aprilia RS50

I have done the following
v-force reeds
FMF- SST pipe with the shorty ti silencer
mild porting and knife edged the transfer ports

Vortex makes an adjustable ignition system.
phatheads - cylinder heads

The kx 85 is a good engine, but I think that the yz85 would have been a better choice. On my bike the powervalve dose not come into play.

It seems that there are less and people running two strokes. The crf150r engine is becoming very popular.

You could also run a Hot Rods Stroker crank +2mm
I would like to see some pics of your bike. I am going to post my bike this weedend. cheers, Garrett

Jetting

Thanks for the info.

I'm also having jetting problems. I currently have a 140pilot and a 35main. I keep this set up wether it's 70dgrs or 85dgrs. I don't feel I have felt the full power of the motor as of yet. Any help would be great. Thnx
