I have a couple of friends over from Taiwan who would like to rent some bikes (which I believe we have covered) but is there any place to rent protective gear?

I think they settled on BMW from the San Jose shop.

Oops... they're getting bikes from Eagle. I think that means HD. glad I'm not going with them tomorrow. dont want to be seen with a couple of HDs! any way Eagle has jackets, come to find out.

Thanks for the input

I think there are a couple booths at the Folsom street fair that could help your friends with leather needs. Thou they might have a tough time with the gag attachment.

Why? Are you too cool to be seen with people on H-D's? What would be embarrasing or demoralizing about going with a ride with some friends from out of town because they chose to rent Harley's? Ever been on a Harley?

Are there certain "brands" people you don't like to be seen with too? Just curious.

Sorry for being harsh.....but in my book, if you dislike any kind of motorcycle simply for the badge on the tank, or have a dislike for anything but the kind of bike you are riding...you are not riding because you love motorcyles, you are doing it for an image you think is cool.

When Harley riders talk shit about imports and sportbikes on the showroom floor, I say the same thing to them...and, yes, I know a lot of Harley is image

I'm done now.

Good luck with your friends and their search for gear....but wait, if they are on Harleys then they don't need gear, right:thumbdown

I ride a Harley myself. But I never got into the whole "If it ain't a Harley, it ain't shit" thing. My next bike will most likely be a sport touring model (vstrom or similar). Maybe they just want to ride something different from their everyday rides.

Teddy...Teddy...lighten up! ya I bag on HDs. it comes from a long history of the prevailing attitude the HD riders display and to the fact that I get woken up a least once a week by that distinct, patented sound they sometimes emit. but these are acquaintances really and since the HD's would be rented I doubt I would have to listen them. So I would go for a ride with them. besides I ride the closest thing HD will ever put out to a sport touring bike. the incredible Buell Ulysse!
