LIFE Exclusive Never-Seen: Hells Angels, 1965 photos

Can't help thinking, what ever happened to those people? If they are still around they would be 65-75 years old. Living that life, you wonder how many survived.

Well if my brother makes a good example they are all strung out on drugs and living in tents in the woods. At least that is where I last saw my brother. He became addicted to Heroin while in the Bandido's. He kicked it in his 30's but fell off the wagon only to burn every bridge and relationship he ever had.

yeah,

being a guy, observing the sickle gang lifestyle, that's one thing-

being a woman, living it, is another thing, entirely.......

my ex co-worker had her nose broken numerous times, been to a hospital plenty of times for different things until she finally took her kid and ran away
she still loves bikes, just not certain type bikers

Nice pictures! I notice quite a few of them were riding sportsters too. Sportsters without forward controls, ape-hangers, springers and other useless gee-gaws.

Granted, back in 1965, the Sportster was a real sports bike. That was like the 'busa of its day. Nowadays the Sportster is stereotyped as the 'girlie bike' in the Harley line-up. But that wasn't always the case.

Sportsters certainly have slipped in terms of respect. The first HD I ever rode was an early 60's XLCH with struts in place of the rear shocks. It sure seemed like one wicked beast. It's still nice to see a Sportster ridden well.

Also, I saw a couple of bikes that appeared to be Big Twins with Sportster front ends. Super Glides before there were Super Glides. :teeth

tried to look at them, got a few pics in. seems like glamorizing the whores on 9th street.....

Harley pulling an impressive wheelie. That right there should be in the history books. :p

(really cool picts... :thumbup Now I wanna be in a gang!)

Met Sonny few years ago during Street Vibrations. I was taking picture of him and my ex boss not even knowing who he was. My ex boss used to ride with them sometimes and he scored some free hotel rooms for them that time.
