Nice Kawk. :wow
That is a seriously fun ride. Enjoy :thumbup

An old coworker of mine would always tell me how much he regretted getting rid of this bike. Enjoy it.

Where's the video of you kick starting it? :teeth

You should always kick start when there's a group around...just for street cred. :laughing

Nice shiny Kawk you have there. :thumbup

Rad! Gotta love the bevel driven cam. I think Kawi did it right with it the retro britbike look.

Beautiful! I love Kawasaki W650. I am surprised that you found one. I love your Camaro too. Happy riding!!:ride

Always liked this and wish the 800 was available here. Real nice put around bike!:thumbup

"I use to have an old triumph back in the day, what year is yours?" get ready to be getting a bunch of these statements and questions about your bike .. i know I do :thumbup

My neighbor had the bike for the last year and I never really looked at until last week. I always thought it was just another modern Bonnie. :laughing

It was his friends bike until he died about a year ago so it does have some meaning for the seller. He likes the fact that I'm across the street and he can still see it from time to time. Plus he's agreed to help me work on it if any problems arise.

Damn, that bike looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor -- in 1978! Awesome!

Meh :)
Good stuff bike. Goes slow, gets a lot of attention from men.

:laughing Great.. a slow bike that only attracts old men.. that's the bike I want.. :rolleyes :laughing

all in good fun.. Good catch OP, I remember seeing those back in 99 on the showroom floor when I was a newer rider; I chose a brandnew KE 100 at the time.

Their popularity seemed to fizzel out until now..

Okay, had a quick little 25 mile ride late yesterday afternoon and I have to say, coming from the Daytona, it's weird. So comfy, upright and going into the turns, I feel like I may fall off. LOL

There is a bit of pulsation between 3-4k rpms in 2nd gear. Then cruising in third gear @ 40mph there is a very very slight pulsation again. I've never ridden a carb bike before so I don't know if this is a natural thing or something needs to be sorted out.

The previous owner recommend some type of fuel cleaner from Yamaha that will help get it running smoother in the long run. Does anyone know what he means by that?

Also, I've heard about seafoam. Educate on that please.

Thanks everyone! I'll be riding her some more later today for a few hours. I'm going to surprise my father-in-law today with it.

Bike sucks. YOU MUST SELL IT TO MEEEEEE! j/k
If the gas is old, I suggest draining the tank, adding fresh gas and a TOUCH of seafoam, just a bit, I have over seafoamed a carb bike before...not good...

Also:

If the bike has never had a jetkit installed, I would do that. Any bike in California is never jetted to run good, just to run clean.

Also, if it hasn't been done:

Add better fork springs ($100) and better rear shocks ($250) to your must do list...
