10 Year anniversary at Ritz - added pictures.

I have plans this weekend and do not want to drive. Anyone know any limo drivers? It's our 10 year anniversary (not wedding; we've been married for only two years). This is the last time we'll celebrate our old anniversary since it's the big 10 years anniversary.

Here's the plan:

Saturday
1000 - from South City to Palo Alto for a spa/massage
1430 - from Palo Alto to South City
1600 - from South City to San Mateo for dinner
1900 - from San Mateo to Ritz, Half Moon Bay

Sunday
1200 - from Half Moon Bay to South City

I have no idea, but this reminded me of when I was in elementary school. My dad was a limo driver, and sometimes he would come and pick me up from school in the stretch.

straight pimpish' :teeth :cool

Thats funny cuz my Dad used to do the same. Probably the only cool thing he ever did, but to a kid that was enough. :laughing

You can find a limo driver easy. Just look for the asshole driving 55 in the fast lane.

I would not recommend hiring a limo driver for that, it would be very expensive. I would find a friend with a really really nice car, and just pay him some money to drive you guys aroun d:)

What he said. Limos were my business for about 5 years, and you're looking at about $1000 with tip for that schedule.

My co-worker just came up with the greatest idea. He said to ask my brother to drive us around. I didn't think of that. I called up my brother and he said he'll do it! All day. What more can a brother ask for!! I'll just rent a nice luxury car for him to drive around. Thanks for the help guys! I'm cool off spending 1k just for a limo.

Hmm.....Make sure you wear something warm or bring a thick blankey if you're planning to watch the ocean in those beach chairs if you go to the Ritz.

nice choice on sleeping overnight for Sunday. Eat a lot.

It was a success! :banana

The Ritz treats you like a rockstar (and they better for the money that you pay)! It was our 10 year anniversary and I booked a night at the Ritz for a little less than $600. They threw rose pedals all over the bed and left a shape of a heart in the center (no charge). They also gave us a bottle of wine that's only made for Ritz hotel and it was pretty smooth (complimentary). I booked the club room so we had access the club room which had free breakfast, lunch and dinner... and alcohol! We also had a choice to order from their breakfast menu for free and we order a gang of food from waffles, french toast, pouched eggs, and more and it was excellent! I had to sign off for the breakfast and the cost was $121! :wow The room also had the ocean view, a plasma, and even a fireplace! Man, all this set the mood and boy did we enjoy it! It also came with a $75 coupon to one of their restaurants, but I made reservations at the Melting Pot in San Mateo instead (one of my wife's fav). At the MP, they set us up on the 2nd floor called lover's lane which was private and intimate (prearranged). The boss hooked me up with setting the table with candles and a vase of roses and rose pedals spread throughout the table (for free). Prior to this I we had a couple massage at the Watercourse Way in Palo Alto and one our in their hot tub! All this added up a little over 1k, but it was worth it. It was a night she'll never forget!

Oh, prior to Saturday, she only knew about the spa and dinner, but not the hotel. On Friday, I drove to her work and personally dropped off 10 medium sized strawberries dipped in white and regular chocolate from Godiva to represent the time we've been together and wrote a little note that said something like: "Happy 10 year anniversary! Remember to pack your luggage for an overnight stay at the Ritz Hotel in Half Moon Bay. I love you so much; and words are not enough to show how much I love you. I look forward to many more years to spend my life with you. - your hubby"

We had a great time!! :party

OMG thats romantic. Good for you, it sounds like you had an awesome weekend

It was! I brought an old CD that I made for her that had our song and a bunch of other love songs we liked. While she was in the bathroom, I snuck the CD in the player and kept our song on pause. I figured the time was right when the lights were off, fireplace on, and heading home from 3rd base. When I hit play, bow chicka chicka chicka wow woah - Then crack, my back! hahaha jk

Pictures...coming soon to a thread near you :thumbup

WOW!!!! You are the man!! That is so awesome that you two are still madly in love after 10 years. She is a lucky woman to have such a greeat guy like yourself. I hope that I will be a fortunate as you two.

Save your money and rent an exotic to drive yourself. Or just a cool little sportscar or something.

Sounds nice!

For that kind of dough, I would think you would get the whole weekend.

Was this for Friday evening until 11am checkout the next morning?

I wish I had it for the weekend, but it was only from noon on Saturday to Sunday with late check out at 4PM. Since we had plans during the day, we got there at 7PM which was right on schedule with what was planned. The stay and the memory was well worth the money! Besides, it was a 10 year anni so I had to do something special.

*Bad Dad - I would have rented an exotic car, but those things are so damn expensive...If I would have planned this out with more time (more than a week), then I would have rented it. I kinda planned things spontaneously.

*mrc - My bad! I would have reserved those little Inns, but they were all booked.

*lefty - I'm sure you'll do well.

*To all - Thanks for the congrats!!! :thumbup

We didn't have time to take pictures of all the food because we were so hungry...Sorry guys!

Here's a pic of us and the Ritz...You can get married at the gazebo. It has a really nice ocean view. I wish I knew about this place before, but I would have had to win the lottery or be in huge debt... :laughing
