16. 04 FJR1300 (currently in transit from Florida)
Currently the VFR800 is my favorite bike. There probably isn't a bike that can do all of the things the VFR is capable of as well as it can. The first 550 could've been but I rode one a coupla years ago and wonder how I did some of the stuff I did on mine. Bikes have sure progressed over the last 30 years! I wonder if we're gonna be sayin' the same thing in 2033?
91' Pegas [push bike BMX wanabe - I was 11 at the time] 82' XS400 [first bike bought in 99' for 500$ owned for 8 days ] 99' Virago 250 [owned for three months] 97' Intruder 800 [bought it instead of a mint Hawk650GT- still hate myself for being so stupid ] 00' SV650 [great bike, wish I'd never sould it] 01' 49State R6 [curent ride-love it]
Out of all the bikes I love the VFR the most although I wouldn't have minded keeping the CBR as my only bike nowadays. The cycle of being a motorcycle owner is kinda shitty. You start small because you're scared, you get progressively bigger and bigger bikes (because you can) and in the end you realize that the smallest bike was probably the fastest one despite popular misconceptions.
My next bike will be an all-out sport touring machine for righteous commuting.
