Not sure if this is the right place, but my usual go-to-mechanic is backed up until April and not accepting anymore work at this time. I have an 04 CRF250x I picked up not long ago that needs the fork seals done, and it needs to be rejet after putting on a new exhaust as well as the suspension tuned for my weight.

Not terrible difficult, but I rather have someone that really knows what they're doing perform the work. Any suggestions around Santa Clara?

Thanks,

We really need a Sticky for shops.

Some of the shops close to you are Catalyst Reaction, Evolution and RMC Moto. I've use all of them and there all good. There is also a shop in SJ that does a lot of dirtbike builds that you may want to try called Spec-1. Heard great things but haven't been there.

Yes, a sticky would be awesome! I didn't wanna try Grandprix again in Santa Clara and while Doug is awesome at Santa Clara accessories, I've not been impressed with the work his mechanics to be completely honest.

What the garage forum is for?
With the exception of the more rare bikes There should be a sticky in the garage? If not we should just start one there.
FWIW the above places are all reputable.

Whammy, I'm not seeing a sticky in the garage. Do you see one? I say we need a sticky because i've seen this question asked a dozen times at least over the last 6 months. Also, do you know how to start a sticky? I'm happy to start one on shops if we don't have one but don't know how.

Do the work yourself? None of that is difficult and it becomes even easier if you take the money you would spend at a shop and throw it at new parts as opposed to cleaning/rebuilding (thinking jets, diaphragms, etc) I bet all of that can be done in a day by a DIYer and a shop manual (even a clymers).

Agree a sticky thread would be great.

I get major service work done at Evolution and have always been super happy. Recently took my Ducati to Advanced Cycle Services (Evo doesn't work on Ducati) and would also recommend them.
