Looks like Contour is back.

Awesome. Hopefully the new cameras will work on all the extra mounts I bought when they shut down. I much prefer their form factor.

One thing I really don't like about Contour is that the clock is worthless. You can go thru the Storyteller app to set the time, but the camera won't track the change of days.

Set the clock, turn on camera, segments of film captured. Turn off the camera, work the day, turn on camera, no change in time of day. That was (for example) Friday. Don't get to ride during the weekend :cry, turn on camera for Monday, and the date/time is still Friday. WTF? :rolleyes

Happy to hear, always preferred them to GoPro. Nice to hear they'll stick around... assuming they do a better job with product marketing this time around.

For mounting on a helmet and ease of use and reliability, Contour is the best choice I've seen on the market. Once you get it set up you won't need to keep messing with the settings. From then on it's just delete, charge, delete charge, oh got pulled over again, save that footage for later, delete, charge...

Awesome!

Love my Roam2. Like said above set record delete. Mine is mounted on the handlebar and it is soooo easy to use I can even turn it on or off with the chin of my helmet if my hands are busy:cool oh yeah $ 132.00 shipped!

I like my contour but the battery life is only good for 4 hours. And you can't run it plugged in.
I've never got 4 hours on mine -- maybe 3.

I love the design and the mounting of the unit - the video is produces is (was) on par with GoPro's.

I agree - they have to update the design to allow it to run while plugged in.

Hence my wish for a Contour-like item that sends video to a mini-DVD for hours of video, and powered off that same mini-DVD, which gets power from the bike.

Make it happen, biches... :x

If you change that to a dual or quad input, going to a SD card so that vibration isn't an issue, I'm right there with ya! :laughing

Current Contours only take 32GB micro-SD cards, so you do have space/time limitations. Dump to a 4 TB SSD, maybe? And still need power to the camera & drive.

THIS, I was hoping a firmware update would fix it, but with everything shutdown I doubt they are keeping up with firmware. For now I just live with it. They still have the best helmet camera available. You GoPro dweebs just look stupid with that camera on top of your helmet.

The clock stops when you plug it in to charge. My Contour Roam does the same thing. So I just set the time every time after I charge it. This limits me to charging from a computer all the time though.

We've been waiting for the firmware update for the longest time, but eventually they shut down with no update in sight.
