Lucy case update

You know I'm with you Ian. I'll do what ever I can to help.

My labs are on "the list" because my mailman opened my screen door to deliver our mail and filed a compliant because my dogs barked at him.

WTF? He was breaking & entering but I can't do shit about it & now my dogs can be put down if he does it again or if they do anything wrong. (I know I'm responsible for their actions but I wasn't home at the time)

Ian, count me in for your petition. The City of Pleasanton now has us on a short leash over some issues with our German Shepherd, and it's total BS. :mad

As an aside, OFG's party is on the 1st of August. The 8th is free. :thumbup

Ian can you amend your complaint to sue the proper government representative?

I have a song Request

"Fight the Power"
-Public Enemy.

Damn that sucks. I for one will boycott that shitty town. I will never visit6 it, purchase anything in it, or made in it.

Damn, what a bunch of Assholes. Defintiley post up when you get the petition set up, i'll make sure some signatures are added to it.

Just read the story. I'm so sorry for you and the family. Best of luck with the ongoing effort. If/when you have the online petition form, I will gladly sign.

completely fucked.

cant imagine how you must feel.

keep up the good fight. you have tons of supporters here.

I'll sign Ian. and I've got 10 others that can get 10 others, and so on and so forth.

Let's get on it.

Ian, the story mentions that the chihuahua 'lost the battle' but does not provide any additional details there. What happened to that dog exactly? Have not tracked this story like the others on the thread, sorry.

You already went the CalBar route and got blocked. Prosecutors are always protected by the prosecutorial immunity so that, in theory, they can act without worrying about repercussions. In practice, this power get to the head of many city attorneys and DAs.

That's exactly why Kahn isn't on the docket.

EDIT - not sure I ever told the final story r.e. Kahn and the CalBar...

He wasn't disciplined for meeting with Desiree without her being represented (he stopped her from meeting the Mayor when she went to hand-deliver a letter to him the day after we'd been in council chambers and had stated we were represented).

He got off, because the letter-head didn't say we were represented.

So basically, he said he didn't know we were represented, ergo his meeting with Desiree with representation wasn't a breach of ethics.

This is the same guy who phoned our attorney to berate her for daring to try to save our dog...

I'm not going to say of course he knew we were represented, because that would be actionable, but you make up your own minds.

UPDATE:

Had a case management conference just now. Without going into detail which might end up getting read by the wrong people, we may, or may not, be still in the game against Sunnyvale.

A clarification statement is being issued by the judge which will be the final decision. We've been advised to submit a rebuttal ASAP just in case it will be allowed.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but right now I feel somewhat elevated...
