Marchesini Wheels: What I noticed

As far as the racing position is concerned, that is where you completely have me. Nowhere on the street is it required to tuck down under the screen to get that extra .1 of a second a lap, and that part of it is well, just "fun" :) And in a strange irony, the clip-ons and racing position on a sportbike is actually more comfortable for me because of my back injury and the fact that an upright position transmits more shock of the road straight up my back and can be very painful at times. Leaning forward put more of a transverse load on my back and is far more comfortable.

This. Got a compression fracture of a vertebra years ago. Leaning forward keeps the energy from traveling straight up my spine where the disks have to absorb the shock. And I do raise my ass and use my legs. The thin seat and stiff suspension provide superb road feel but not so good for the back. I'm pretty tall and can sit up straight on a sportbike. Doesn't really feel good. More head buffet and noisier too, at least on some bikes. On my two recent 700 mile days on the Gixxer, the tuck made my ride so much better.

why the hell is this thread 7 pages long? :confused

Marchenisi wheels = less rotational weight (awesome)

The Ninja 250...Umm, ride one from the Bay Area to the Sierra and cross a couple of passes (Sonora pass and Ebbetts pass are especially good), and back to the Bay Area then say a 250 is something to love.

The 2fiddy, is something to love. There. I said it. :laughing

Who did your magnesium rims?
I was thinking of getting my marchesini mag's done in white just like yours!

Any powdercoating shop should be able to. Just gotta bring 'em in off the bike with the rotors, sprocket, bearings, etc. off.

Powder coating magnesium is a bad idea. Cracks can develop below the powder coat and you won't know until they catastrophically fail.

As in Cold?
It isn't cold, just because what was a 12 foot deep snow drift is a trace of snow now in the picture. Should be Mid to High 60's when that picture was taken (could be Low to Mid 70's).

Besides..it's the same temp for both riders.

Or does BBR mean something else in Code?

That would be Brr. I thought "more to love" might have had something more to do with the rider than the bike.

Chances are the bike rider that was in front..has more to Love :laughing

Yes, yes I do Lou. And the more miles I get on it, the more fun it gets.
