I just thought you were the diplomat of the raw onions society and then flipped on me.. I feel taken advantage of.
I am not. I am Switzerland. I believe in the right ingredients for the right dish. I usually always prefer caramelized onions, but in situations such as this sandwich or on top of chili, there is room for raw onions.
I also do not understand your desire to eat chewy gristle on occasion.

Yeah, I last had one like 30 years before this and I was not pleased.
Coming back after inspiration from Rob's McHeroics was a pleasant surprise, it was reasonably tasty.

It is certainly possible, I smoked at least part time from age 11 until around age 30. I think it has to do more with tastebuds just more mature. I never had a crazy sweet tooth, but I certainly love savory flavors a lot more and sweet flavors a fair amount less than when I was a kid. When I was a kid, I wouldn't just devour garlic by the steaming fistful.

Well, I hit up Micky D in Oakland, we only have TWO outlets left, for crissake, and the city is huge in footprint.
The driveup line was mid block and I did not have enough good memory of a McRib to wait that long.
