Who all would be interested in a 47 or 49 anyway?

Seems like lotsa folks have the smaller one and like them just fine, but the more i see how easy they break the less id want one. Waiting to ride Toe's modded one and decide from there ;)

The one I have is the one at the very top of the thread. The one that kinda looks like a R1 with headlights, altezza brake lights, and blinkers. The one my friends has is the super ninjas. They also have headlights, but they're circles. The headlights on the one I have look like cat eyes. They're both 49cc, but my friends is a lot faster and handles better. The pegs on his bike is higher up. It allows for better cornering. I hope I cleared things up. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Wow, thats surprising that the larger one your friend has is faster cause it looks a heck of a lot bigger in the pic I saw with some guy sitting on it, like a kids bmx bike size or bigger, so youd think with more weight and the same motor, yours woulda stomped on it. Suppose it has more to do with the quality of the engine parts. Eventho theyre sorta cool, I know I dont want to own one as large as those, so depending how the new full faired Cags seem to hold up, I may just be getting one of them and doing some mods on it like add a batt powered light from a bicycle system and maybe weld a kick stand to the frame, cuz if they so much as tip over a bit when the fuel is on, they leak all over.

My friend has the one in the link. One of his friends who is over 250lbs rode his bike and it ran pretty quick. The one I have takes a lot of time before it starts to pick up speed. I'm gonna have my cousin fix my bike, but in the meantime I might just buy one of those new full fairing 47cc bikes too. If I get off work early today, I'm gonna head out to walnut creek to check them out.
 
I have one of those. Out of the box I was hitting hitting 35-40, but with some minor adjustments at the carb i was hitting 45-50 stock. (I weigh 160lb) Oh also what was slowing me down alot was the chain. It was grinding agaisnt the a piece of metal over the right side foot pedal. I had to cut it and then reweld it so it wouldnt touch anymore. The exhaust was the first thing to break. Snapped cleaned off at the welds. Then my gasket for the intake manifold blew out. The intake manifold is made of plastic so I'm getting a metal one soon.

Headlights bulbs are almost impossible to find. Oh for the people not getting the acceleration check your gaskets. When mines was leaking it bearly pulled. But with new ones it pulled really hard. Pocketbikesunlimted.com sells a performace exhaust and carb kits for these bikes.

Quality wise the bikes 1-10 i give it a 4. But I rather have these then the smaller ones. To make it better I say replaces those cheap bolts. alot of them snapped on me. Also use thread lock when u repalce the bolts it helps it from comming lose from all the vibrations.
