Metcalf Trail Conditions Thread

Ah, I mean to post this yesterday.
It dumped rain Thursday morning; the 24 hout total yesterday morning was 2.17 inches.

EXCEPT Metcalf rd is closed at the bottom; you have to go in the back way on San Felipe.

Really nice traction. Really good shit that makes riding easy, or, if you choose, stuff to rail on.

Good to hear conditions are good. Planning on some riding with my kid this weekend. Is the road still an issue? That looks like it was 2 months ago.
 
Road issue was a powerline issue that only lasted a few hours.

Otherwise... Maybe I can make it out there for a bit tomorrow.
 
Conditions were really nice yesterday following the rain on Sunday. Good times.
 
Motocross track; pretty nice today...
When I got there at 11 I found the track freshly groomed from Tuesday or Wednesday with no tracks on it yet. Untracked. Not fresh powder, but kinda like that corduroy stuff. The whole track, not just parts. No big dirt colds. I took a different line every lap. Did a buncha laps, which is not usually my style.

Pretty sweet. Awesome if you just add water...

Hollister posts conditions on the State Parks website (see “where to ride” thread), Carnegie and Metcalf on Bookface.
Metcalf used to post here everyday. Carnegie text too, maybe.
They have divided us. Too many modes of communication.
